As she sinks back into the uneven chair holding the smoke in her burning lungs, she stares at the lights changing colors as she watches the smoke escape her mouth, billowing into the pulsing lights. The loud music vibrating through her entire body as if every atom that makes up her body is dancing. As the sting slowly fades away from her right nostril, she closes her eyes and waits for the high to begin.

"Mi-Sun!" a deep voice yells and brings her back to reality. She opens her eyes to see a figure standing over her, the intense lights blinding her from seeing his face. She knows that tall and lean silhouette and that voice that could rattle anybody's bones. She smiles at him, unsure what to say because she know's he disapproves of this side of her. It hurts him. And when something hurts him, it hurts her. He leans down placing his hands firmly on each side of the chair she's slumped in. She looks over to see his long tanned fingers squeeze the armrest. Slowly tracing her eyes up his arm, she locks eyes with the most delicate and gentle orbs she's ever seen. She automatically finds her comfort in those elongated eyes and boxy smile. "Taehyung! What are you doing here?" He licks his lips before parting them to speak "I can't leave my best friend to drown out reality alone can I?" and he finishes that sentence off with a reassuring pat on the head. Giggling like a playful child, Mi-Sun jumps up and throws her arms around his neck and he pulls her deeper into his embrace.

Mi-Sun and Taehyung have been best friends since they were 10 years old. He was the only person that Mi-Sun ever let in, the only person who truly knows her. They both come from opposite ends of the spectrum. His family, the Kims, are well known and respected. His father, Kim Chol, owns a prestigious law firm. Although he's stern and most of the time very cold, his mother, Lina is always there to warm up the cold spots his father leaves behind. Whereas Mi-Sun grew up in a middle class family. Mi-Sun always looked up to her father, he was hard working but always came home with a smile on his face and never let her feel unloved. Until the fucker left her and her mom for a new family, that is.

As she watches her best friend harshly swallow his 5th shot of vodka she can't help but to admire him. How effortlessly beautiful he is with his disheveled wavy dark as night hair, how his slightly larger upper lip sits perfectly balanced on the bottom one. How you can see every inch of pain in his heart through his bright orbs. It always amazes her how by just the sight of him, she feels safe. "TaeTae are you drunk yet? I wanna dance!" Mi-Sun whines to him knowing he's too shy to dance without liquid courage. He stands up straight and turns his body towards her. He looks around the room, as if he's scanning for somebody. "She isn't here, I promise" Mi-Sun reassures him. He quickly looks back to her, grabs her by the hand and they rush in front of the DJ. Not taking their eyes off of eachother they both start jumping and moving to the electronic music that's busting through the speakers. This moment, this feeling is exactly what Mi-Sun lives for. Letting go of all of the pain in her life, all of the betrayal, all of the difficulties and just being one with Tae, being completely free.

After dancing like two crazy people alone in their rooms, Tae slides his hand around Mi-Suns waist and pulls her into him. "You need water and I need another shot. Lets go, jazz hands." Tae giggles into her ear making sure she knows he's making fun of her ridiculous dancing. They make their through the dense, sweaty crowd to the bar. Taehyung never loosening his grip on Mi-Suns hand.
