A man with charm is a very dangerous thing.
As the sun peaks through her curtains, Mi-Sun stretches out her body and lets out a long groan. Her head feels as if a hundred hammers are slamming into her skull. She released herself from the comfortable claws of her bed and went to get some Advil. In the kitchen she can hear the silence pulsating through her eardrum from the cracked door next to her. With slow footsteps she makes her way to the room, her heart starts to fill with dread as it drops into her stomach like the weight of a hundred anchors dropping to the ocean floor. She gets this feeling every time she goes into this room because she never knows what she'll walk into. Opening the shades to let some light in she turns to see her once full of life mother, laying in front of her dull and empty. She shoves those thoughts into the back of her head as she starts her morning routine. Giving her a sponge bath, changing her into new clothes and feeding her soft scrambled eggs.
Mi-Sun was 16 when her father had left them behind and the loss left an ever growing emptiness in their lives. Her mom always kept her appearances up but late at night she would be able to hear the quiet whimpers as they echoed through the dark house. She hated her father for causing her mom so much pain. She could never bring herself to bother her mom with any of her hardships so that's where Taehyung came in. He was Mi-Sun's rock and safety net. When they couldn't afford dinner, he would come over with her moms favorites. They'd stay up late watching movies or listening to music and talking until the sun came up. He would teach lessons to her abusive ex and all of the other idiots she'd half-ass let in. And three years later when her mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer he was all she really had in this world. Though life was tough, it was a little easier with Tae by her side. When he started getting hardships, dealing with his strict father putting pounds of pressure on him to be just like him, she slowly backed away from him. Allowing him the space he needs, which in the end caused her to close herself off to him, in the sense of telling him anything she was dealing with. She didn't want to burden him, she didn't want to burden anybody.
Sitting on her bed she mindlessly scrolls on her laptop reading emails. She has a few different ways of making money but the biggest way is being army candy for rich lonely old men. They all disgusted her, paying beautiful young women to join them on their escapades to impress all of the other old pigs. She just enjoyed taking them for the only thing they're good for, their money. She never let them touch her sexually, or kiss her. She was simply there to exist and give them her precious time. Which most of the time they were more than willing to open their wallets to her with no ifs, ands or buts. There were some men scummier than her normal clientele, the ones that think she owes them her body in exchange for their money. She knew how to handle them, and handle them well. Mi-Sun would never let Taehyung know she did this though. She's afraid of what he might say or even worse, that he won't say anything at all. She would never want to change the way his eyes beam when he looks at her.
