//Sam's POV//

After a quick lunch break at Taco Bell, Ashton drives us towards the stadium where the music event will take place tonight. I sit in the front passengers seat while Luke fends for his life as Delilah and Calum act like your typical lovebirds.

I sure am glad I'm over that. I never knew how annoying couples can be until now. Still can't believe this is how Luke and I were when we were together.

"You're so cute!" Delilah gushes in the backseat, referring to Calum... Or should I say her "sweetums."

"You're cuter babe!" He banters back, almost tempting me to rip a piece of my hair out.

"Barf. I don't know how much longer I can handle this couple crap any longer." I exclaim after I turn around in my seat at a stoplight. My comment gets a good chuckle from Luke and a long lecture from the rents.. A.k.a. "Sweetums" and "babe."

"She's just jealous she doesn't have such a great boyfriend like you." Delilah gloats, kissing Calum in front of Luke and I. My eyes grow ten times bigger when I see a little tongue action happen before me. Luke coughs uncomfortably and comments, "At least she didn't eat my face off when we were still together." Delilah glares at him, still making out with Cal, who seems to be enjoying himself a little too much.

I laugh to that and shoot Luke a warm smile before I turn around back in my seat. Ashton turns to me from the driver's seat and looks down at my hand. Luke made his decision and I made mine so I give Ash the "go-ahead." He interlocks his one hand with mine and drives the rest of the way with the other. I detect his satisfaction when he smiles at the road in front of him.

"Why the fuck are you holding her hand?" Luke mumbles, startling all of us in the car.

Ashton chuckles, "Because it seemed lonely since your sorry ass left it."

My face heats up and I try to avoid contributing into this conversation. I feel like anything I'll say will either provoke Ashton or piss of Luke so I keep to myself. Unlike me, Delilah and Calum cant seem to keep in control.

"You still get jealous!!" They sing in unison to the tune of that annoying song by Nick Jonas.

...

The first thing I do when we get inside is, hug the shit out of Blaire. Not too tightly though, her injuries are still severe, but she's lucky that medical officials let her out earlier that expected. Before I can even lay a finger on her, Michael objects. He reminds me to be careful, as if I didn't know already.

"Well hi there Sam." She giggles lightly, wrapping her right arm weakly around my neck. After I hug her for five straight minutes without saying a single word, Delilah smirks and nonchalantly hands her a bag full of her favorite food from Taco Bell.

"We brought you this as well. Thank Ashton for paying." Delilah adds, trying to hide how happy she really is.

"Thanks, you guys. It means a lot to me, really." Blaire says, making us all blurt out "aw."

We all form a group hug around her for a long sixty seconds and carry on with the boys' rehearsal. Us girls, have the honor of sitting in the front row for an empty arena experience. Just the thought of having the rest of these seats filled with other people later this evening, makes me smile like an idiot.

While Delilah and Blaire talk about their outfits for tonight, I sit in my chair in silence, breathing in the air of a whole different world.

So this is what the lads do every day when they aren't out for vacation or parting. They perform in huge venues such as the one I'm sitting in right now. I can't imagine how nervous they get before they go onstage.

A test run of the opening announcement to introduce the lads comes out on the speaker, making me shriek inside.

I hear Ashton doing what he does best: drumming. Calum is keeping a quick, upbeat tempo with the bass line. Michael's silent shouting to the invisible crowd has me pumped. And.. Luke...

"Simmer down.. Simmer down.." He sings. His voice, music to my ears as the sound echoes within the arena.

By the time they come to the chorus, Delilah and Blaire are on their feet, dancing like there's no tomorrow. I, on the other hand, sit still in my chair still. My eyes closed, I take in my surroundings. I can't help but imagine listening to this every day when on tour later this week.
