//Luke's POV//

"Who's Astrid?" Sam cries in the back seat of the cab next to Delilah.

I quickly give the taxi driver directions to our place and turn around to face the two girls. Since Ashton's got my keys, we couldn't take my car home.

"No one to worry about." I answer worriedly.

If I tell her about Astrid, she'll know the truth behind this stupid accident. I was the one who created this one huge fuck up! I was the one reason why she lost her memory! That's why my little fling with Astrid needs to be kept a secret.. Which reminds me.. I'm hoping the boss worked things out with Astrid's dad.. That bitch can go write a song about me all she wants. Just as long as she stays away from us.

" I NEED ANSWERS!" she screams, kicking and scratching from Delilah's grip.

"Sam, you need to calm down!" Delilah pleads.

Sam hysterically cries in Delilah's arm, causing me to get angry.

Why'd Ashton have to bring some stranger with us? She practically blew the last secret I ever wanted to tell Sam! Now, I have no idea what to tell the love of my life. I can't just casually bring the subject up. Oh hi babe, Story time: did you know that the reason you lost your memory was because of me acting stupid? What a stupid fucking excuse.

Ashton's going to get it later tonight when they get home. I swear, he's going to pay.

"Why don't you want me to know about this Astrid? Did you guys love each other? Was it fun, Hemmings? Did you screw her too?" she asks as she grasps her head.

"Sam, it wasn't like that! You don't understand. It was complicated.." I answer quietly.

I didn't think I'd be having this conversation with Sam this early, no thanks to Isabella.

"Really? It was complicated? Wow, you're so full of shit, Luke." she hollers back.

"Guys, please stop fighting!"Delilah pleads, enough with our shit.

I look at Delilah with sympathy. This is terrible. Delilah shouldn't have to deal with this. This is my mess and she shouldn't be the one to clean it up.

Sam unwillingly stops arguing and looks out the window instead. I turn back to my seat and sigh under my breath. The city lights blind me with color and ideas.

She's never going to forgive me. God, I was stupid to think I could keep this act up. If only I had time. More time to gain her trust. Now, she's giving me the cold shoulder. All these past days have all been wasted. Her confession of loving me probably has no meaning to her anymore.

I turn around in my seat again, only to see the two girls sleeping.

Sam's fast asleep on Delilah's shoulder. And like always, Delilah's snoring away. I wonder how Calum deals with it when they sleep.. but then again... he snores pretty loud too.

Frustrated, I sink back in the front seat. There's no use in saying "I love you" if sleeping beauty's fast asleep.

..later.. at the house..

I yawn lazily as I carry Sam into my room. There's no way in hell she's going to sleep in Ashton's room anymore. She's officially my roommate for the time being.

"I'll stay by her side in case she wakes up. You go get food for us. I'm fucking starving." Delilah says tiredly.

She hands me twenty five bucks and tells me to stop by the grocery store.

"Ice cream and frozen pizza?" I ask, already heading out the door.

"Mhm, thanks boo." she smiles in a sisterly way.

I shake my head with a smile and walk on the street leading to a nearby Walmart. Hopefully I'm seen as just another person inside. I'm not exactly in the mood to shake a few hands and take photos. Right now, my goal is to get whatever it is I need to get and make my way back to Sam and Delilah.

Once nearby, I notice a flower stand close by. The person who's selling them mentions that all profit goes to various cancer foundations. Looking more closely, I see that it's an old lady who sits alone behind the stand. I check my pockets for spare money and manage to buy a bouquet for Sam. It's for a good cause, right? It'll help find a cure for people like Rosie.. my little sister.. Which reminds me, I need to remember to visit her grave soon back in Australia.

I take a quick trip to Walmart and pick out some ice cream accompanied with frozen pizza. I'm overwhelmed of how many flavors there are in the ice cream section. I quickly choose two different flavors and rush to choose regular pepperoni frozen pizza. After paying, I dash home with the food in my right hand and the bouquet in the other.

Close by the neighborhood, I see a flashes of red and blue lights near our house. Alarmed, I run as fast as I can to see the others (excluding Isabella) standing outside the house. Delilah's rushing out of the house with a travel bag and she seems as tired as ever. Before she boards the ambulance I notice Sam's in a gurney, her eyes completely dead.

"What the hell is going on here?" I ask, almost tempted to drop the flowers and groceries.

"We just got here, mate." Calum answers.

Delilah sees that I've arrived and shouts for me to hurry up.

"Get your ass in here, Hemmings. Your fiancé's going to need you more than ever!" she says.

I mindlessly hand the groceries to Michael and run to the back of the ambulance.

"We'll drive right in back you guys, okay?" Calum mentions before I close the car door.

I nod and turn my attention back on Sam.

My heart sinks when I get a better look of what's wrong with her.

"Delilah... why is her head bleeding?"
