|Ashton's POV|

"Dammit! I can't believe our bodyguards just ditched us like that." Luke sighs, gripping firmly onto the steering wheel.

I nod mindlessly and watch over Sam in the back seat. She's still unconscious in my lap and I'm surprised she's not bothered by Luke's careless driving.

"Hey buddy, take it easy with the driving will ya?" I note, worried that Sam will wake up harshly.

Luke mumbles an apology and stops smoothly at a red light. He turns around from his seat and and checks up on us.

"She doing okay?" he asks with concern.

I nod wordlessly and see Luke getting angry at himself through the mirror.

"I wasn't thinking," He sighs," I completely forgot about Sam's constant fainting."

Luke hits the steering wheel furiously and speeds through the streets. I notice Sam fidgeting when he does so.

"Don't be so hard on yourself, dude. I get it. It's tough and pretty pressuring, I know. With the marriage and stuff.. It's fuckin' stressful, I know." I sympathize, making Luke laugh a little.

"Thank you for helping me,Ash. It means a lot to me that you still support Sam and I being together." Luke shoots a lazy smile at me through the mirror.

I roll my eyes and his cheesiness.

"Yeah, don't mention it kid, I just want what's best for Sam okay?" I answer with a stern look.

Sam's hand shoots into the sky lazily and I immediately look up at Sam. She's restlessly searching for something in the air.

"Uh.. Luke I think she wants to hold your hand.." I murmur.

"Well hold it, I'm busy driving." Luke answers with a grunt as he turns a sharp right.

I have second thoughts of Luke's request before intertwining Sam's hand in mine. A smile appears across my face when I see Sam lighten up after I hold her hand.

"Hm.. What's best for her, huh?" Luke questions.

He looks at the road in front of him and shakes his head.

"This isn't what's best for her." Luke states weakly.

His statement bewilders me but I soon catch on.

He's talking about the media being the issue with this whole situation. I remember having to sneak out in the parking lot to leave the mayhem of fans..... I should've helped though. It would've been more bearable for Sam, if I had done something..

"Don't say that." I say, catching him off guard.

He raises an eyebrow at me and we're both surprised when Sam wakes up all of a sudden.

"Woah Sam are you okay?" I ask.

"Luke." she says in a strangely serious tone.

"Hm?" he asks still driving to the house.

"I want to get married in a week."
