Micah Swan sat on the edge of his bed, his head resting in his hands as he took several deep breaths.
Today Micah and Bella where leaving their mother to go live with the father, so their mum could go travel with Phil while he worked.
Phil is a minor league baseball player, so he travelled a lot, and that made Reneé sad because she could never go with him as she had to stay home to look after Micah and Bella.
Not that she really looked after them anyway. While Bella did the cooking and cleaning, Micah worked three jobs to help pay the rent, Water and electric bill.
If Micah was being honest, he was very nervous about going to his dads. Mainly because he was being forced to go on a plane, instead of being allowed to used his car.
And that was because of Bella. She didn't want to be stuck in a car with her brother for an entire day when she could just get a plane and only be on there for 4 hours.
See, Micah has a fear of planes. It wasn't so much the hight it goes or how small it is inside, but more to the fact of it falling out of the sky. It was also why he didn't like any rides, at theme parks, that went really high and then drop the next. He could just manage the pirate ship.
Micah jumped in shock as his door slammed open. Bella eyes her brother before rolling her eyes, "Will you hurry up, We are going to be late and I will not miss this plane because of your attention seeking tendencies."
Micah glowered as her retreating form. Taking one last deep breath, he grabbed his bad and left his room, shutting the door behind him.
As he reached the top of the stairs, he saw Phil standing at the bottom looking up at him, "Are you alright?"
Micah nodded with a small smile. When he reached the bottom of the steps, Phil gave him a pat on the back, took his bag and left the house to put in the boot of his car.
When he left the house, he heard Bella tut and saw her roll her eyes again, in the counter of his eyes.
If she keeps rolling her eyes, they will get stuck. He thought to himself.
He was pulled out of his thoughts when a warm body engulfed his. Blinking rapidly, he realised it was his mum and hugged her back.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Reneé asked.
Micah smiled, even if she couldn't see it. "I'm sure mum. You've looked after us for 17 years. You deserve a break. Send me pictures?"
