Micah Swan walked the empty halls, making in his way towards the exit. It was finally the end of the day, and Micah wanted nothing more than to curl up in bed and sleep the rest of the day away.

All day Micah had been avoiding Jessica's nonstop questions. As much as he loved her, it was getting a tiny bit annoying.

Quickly making a stop at his locker, Micah pulled open the little blue door and gasped slightly as the little slip of paper that fell out.

Frowning he picked up the folded piece of paper, looking at it curiously. His curiosity getting he better of him, Micah opened the note and gasped at what he read.

'I know what the Cullens are. I know what you've done. You have taken what's mine, and I will take them back.

Watch yourself, Micah Swan, because I'm coming for you!'

Micah felt like his heart was in his throat as he read and re-read the note over and over and over.  The handwriting did look familiar to Micah, but at the moment he couldn't figure out where he had seen it.

Micah swallowed thickly. Did this person really know what the Cullens where. What had he done, he didn't know. The only thing he didn't know, was that if this person could whoever they may be, was serious, then someone was after him.

Taking a shuddering breath, Micah looked around, spotting no one, and scrunched up the note, slipping it in his pocket. He was going to keep it to himself for the time being, because it was probably someone just playing a mean joke.

Yeah, just a joke, Micah tried to convince himself. Grabbing his history homework and skateboard, Micah slammed his locker shut and hurried out of the building.

Once out of the eerie building, Micah dropped his board onto the floor, hopped on and began pushing himself towards his house, with the odd glance behind himself every now and then.

Since moving to Forks, Micah wasn't as paranoid as he had been in Phoenix, but the senses still remained, and Micah was one hundred percent certain, that someone had followed him home.

Locking the front door, Micah quickly rushed to the back, making sure that was locked too before rushing around the house and shutting all the curtains.

Even if it turned out to be a prank, he still wanted to make sure he was safe. Micah picked up his phone, debating whether to call his Mates or not, but in the end he decided against it.

The Cullens hadn't been in that day, due to it being sunny for once. They had taken that chance to go hunting and the last he had heard, they had made it all the way to Canada. He didn't want to disturb them, especially when they needed to hunt.

Shoving his phone into his back pocket, Micah hurried upstairs and shut his door. Sitting down at his desk, he decided to do his homework, needing something to distract himself.

Micah really didn't want to revert back to his old paranoid self that was constantly on guard, just waiting for someone to pop up out of nowhere.

Constantly scared that someone was going to hurt him. Just constantly scared of everything. He didn't want that.

He was finally happy, for once. He was living with someone who actually acted like the parent that they where. He had four amazing boyfriends that made him feel like he was on a constant cloud nine. He finally had friends that accept him for who he was. And he lived in a town where no one cared if he was gay or not.

So Micah really didn't want to go back to the way he was, because he knew that if he did, he would loose everything and everyone.

Micah felt his body stiffen at the sound of something rustling outside. His eyes widened slightly as his breath caught in his throat.

Rolling his eyes in annoyance, Micah slapped himself, "Stop it!" He hissed at himself as he caught his own eyes in the mirror.

Micah found himself glaring at his reflection, "Stop being so scared all the time!" He took a step forward, "Stop being so weak!" Another step, "So cowardly!" One more, "So dependant on others!"

At this point Micah was screaming at his reflection, "Stop being such a wimp!" He wiped under his eye ruffly as tears began to leak, "Stop crying!"

With a cry of pain or anger, he didn't know, Micah punched the mirror hard, falling to his knees in a sobbing mess as he clutched his bleeding hand, his body surrounded by glass.

"I refuse to go back to that!" He screamed towards the sky, as if he was talking to someone standing above him, "You can't make me! I refuse!" He lowered his head back towards the ground as another heartbreaking sob rattled through his tiny body, "I refuse, I refuse."

What Micah had failed to realise what that over two thousand miles away, a certain empath had frozen mid hunt as he was hit with all of his Mates emotions, curtesy of the Mating mark.

Micah was scared, in pain and angry. Jasper frowned, what had caused his Mate to feel this way.

Because he was on his own, the Cullens having split up on Alice's suggestion, Jasper turned tail and ran faster than he thought he could. His Mate needed him and he would be dammed if he was going to leave him on his own.

A few hours later, Charlie Swan walked into his surprisingly dark house. "Micah!" He called.

When he heard no response, he walked up stairs, towards his sons room. Knocking on the door, Charlie slowly opened it incase he was asleep.

Charlie couldn't contain the gasp that escaped his mouth at the sight of his son sat on the floor, a piece of scrunched up paper held in a very bloody hand, surrounded by broken glass, staring blankly at the wall.

Charlie rushed over, ignoring the glass the cut open his knees as he pulled his son into his arms.

"Micah, What happened?" He asked softly, he didn't want to startle the boy.

Micah looked up at his dad, his brown dove like eyes, wide and pleading, "Please don't let me go back to the way I was." He begged, his lip quivering slightly.
