A/N: Delilah/Red's POV. These are getting kinda crazy... 😳

My arms were braced on my knees as I rested my forehead against my forearms. I was silent as I let myself internally freak out for one of the only times in my life. There was this gnawing feeling in my gut that I knew I shouldn't have ignored. I had agreed with Gregory that we needed to get back at them, and now I was experiencing the backlash of that decision. I was beginning to understand what Georgia had meant when she was trying to persuade me.

She was always the rational one between us and I was too much of an idiot to see that. She had the answers, and I was the one giving us all the problems. It wasn't entirely my fault that we were going through with this, but to me it felt like it. It felt like my being here made everything worse.

I heard a kind of clicking noise so I raised my gaze to the ceiling. The lights were flickering in an uncertain way, not sure if they should black out or give me some light to see by. They didn't come to a conclusion, continuing their odd pattern of indecision. Then there was a sound at the doorway, making me gasp and turn my head in that direction.

Elena was standing in the doorway of the boys' dorm, a smile on her face that I only saw between the flashes of the lights. They, and the fact that she never smiled, made me wonder if the expression was real. My eyes dropped down her frame and I saw an axe in her hand, a pang going through my stomach to join the gnawing feeling.

"Elena?" I said, standing and feeling my hands clench into fists.

She tsked, looking at the wall and taking a step forward. "You know, I always preferred Ellie for her. I guess you kids didn't much like my nicknames."

"What?" I said before I could think anything else, feeling the need to step away from her. "What the hell are you talking about?"

She pouted with so much emotion, tossing her hands to the side and laughing immediately after. "I can't believe none of you recognize me. It's insane how I spoke to every single one of you and you have no idea who I am! It's kind of upsetting, to be honest."

I could feel myself getting more and more afraid. That feeling increased as the doors behind her slowly slid closed. Then she looked at me with narrowed eyes, that smile still persisting. I couldn't pin down why she was acting like this, like... a psychopath.

"Come on," she said, stepping closer until she was almost directly in front of me. "You don't remember me at all, Delly?"

As my brain clicked into place, my body stumbled backward and I held my hands up for protection. "You're not Elena-"

"God, you kids are so slow," she said, taking steps toward me and rolling her eyes. "You need to get back on your A game or there'll be none of you left. Well, there won't be any of you left anyway-"

"Isn't the axe a bit of an advantage?" I asked, feeling about ready to kick her ass.

She smiled, still taking calculated steps. "I don't think you get what's happening here. I'm going to kill you because that's what needs to be done and you're going to take it because there aren't any other options for you."

"There's options," I said, knowing I could take her. "The other option is to take you down without breaking a nail."

She grinned wider at that, releasing a loud cry as she swiped the axe at my torso. I dodged backward, curling my hands into fists and raising them for help. She let out a crazed laugh, moving toward me and bringing her weapon down on me. I flew to the right, punching her in the mouth so blood trailed down her chin. This just made her grin wider, teeth glowing red.
