A/N: This one's from Juniper/Brown's POV. It's a bit longer too 😉

But that's not what you want to hear. You want to know what happened to Anya. So, I'll tell you the whole story, it's not like I have much of a choice.

I was sitting on the floor in Medbay with my back on the wall next to Mateo, silently wondering everything about us. I knew we weren't a good idea but I'd been hung up on him ever since we slept together. I didn't have the balls to tell him we were a mistake. No, I let him treat me like a princess because some sick part of me enjoyed lying to people. I was always using people back home so why would up here be any different? It shouldn't be. I know I sound bitter but it's hard not to be when you realize what an idiot you are.

"What do you want to do?" Mateo asked me, snaking his hand into mine and running his thumb over the top of my hand. It was maybe the most intoxicating thing I'd ever felt and he didn't even know. He had no idea the effect he had on me.

I let out a long breath, looking over at him and feeling a little twinge of guilt. "I don't know. What's your zodiac sign?"

A little smile appeared on his lips as he took in what I had said. "Why? Are you trying to get in my pants but you're too broke to buy me a drink?"

I rolled my eyes at the words out of his mouth, almost the same thing I'd said when Parker asked me that question. "Just tell me."

"I'm a Libra," he admitted, looking down at me with an amused smile.

I nodded, resting my chin on his shoulder so I could be closer to him. "When we get out of here and we're back on Earth, we'll look up at the stars together and I'll tell you about your constellation. Can we manage that?"

"I think so," he said, eyes on my lips as he started to lean closer to me.

Those promises weren't what I should've been saying. I should've been trying to call off our "war" or making the most of our time then. I should've tried harder to be with him then because what does it matter now? We're separated and I might not ever see him again

I'm sorry I keep getting off track with these things. I'll get back to Anya

It was Nathan who brought her in, laying her on one of the beds with a blood stained suit. I'd ran from my spot with Mateo, moving to her side. The first thing I noticed was her wide, unmoving eyes. The second was the blood seeping into the white pillow, staining it even further from when Gregory had. I remember ordering Nathan to help me turn her on her side so I could see the wound. There was a gash on the back of her head, larger than was hopeful to me.

"Was there a weapon of some kind?" I asked, glancing over my shoulder at Nathan.

"There was a pipe," he said, eyes glued to her motionless body. "There was a pipe sitting next to her on the ground. I just found her outside Electrical, I just found her there."

"Can you get him out of here?" I told Mateo, noticing Nathan really couldn't handle looking at her for another second. "And when you're done, bring me some surgical gloves and the cleaning kit."

It took me a long time to clean out the wound completely since there was all kinds of dirt and debris. When I was finished, I sewed her head back up. Zach didn't come by the entire procedure which I assumed was a good thing. If he wasn't worrying about Anya, it was probably for the best. It didn't do him any good to be crying at her bedside. He should've been preparing for the war, which is what I thought was best. I figured nothing could be more important than fighting those monsters. How wrong I was.
