Midoriya tapped his fingers against his thighs, glancing from the floor back to Bakugo, and back to the floor again as he saw the same pissed-off expression on the blond's face in front of him. Bakugo had told him to meet him after school near the gate of UA, and now that he and Bakugo were standing there, Midoriya really regretted convincing Aizawa to make his enrollment in UA a surprise.
"So..." Midoriya started hesitantly, doing his best to imply that Bakugo should start speaking. Bakugo continued to glare at him with his usual expression Midoriya remembered too well, and Midoriya swallowed dry as he shifted on the spot.
"Why did you decide it was a good idea to make a surprise out of it? You completely threw me off guard, and you should know more than anyone that's a shitty move." Bakugo asked assertively. Midoriya fidgeted with his hands as he tried to come up with an answer. Bakugo had been going easy on him whenever they met in the alleys, since he had to be soft only for a couple minutes before Midoriya had to leave, but now that Bakugo knew they were going to be spending way more time together, and he knew he wasn't going to play favorites with Midoriya when it came to friendship, Bakugo was pissed, and somewhat anxious of being unprepared (covered by the angry facade).
"I...Um...I didn't exactly know how to tell you, and I didn't think you'd mind a surprise, so...Um...I'll be attending your school from now on...?" Midoriya smiled weakly, shrugging as he looked at Bakugo expectantly. Bakugo quirked an eyebrow and continued to keep his hands crossed on his chest with the same deadpan looking expression.
"I don't like surprises."
"I'll remember that."
"Yeah, you better." A pause.
"...I can't say I'm not glad you're here, though." Midoriya's eyes lit up and he looked at Bakugo, who averted his gaze almost casually if not for the slight awkward shifting, noticeable from the way Bakugo had been standing dangerously still for the past few minutes. Midoriya kept quiet, not thanking him for his words. He knew Bakugo wasn't an affectionate person, and Midoriya didn't want to make things uncomfortable for him by thanking him and praising him for the kind words. Instead, he simply nodded, and Bakugo turned around, walking away. Midoriya stood behind hesitantly, unused to Bakugo's normal (pissed-off) behaviour, until Bakugo spoke again, not turning around as he continued to walk. "You can come with me. Meet your possibly future classmates or shit. I don't care." Bakugo quickly added at the end, but a warm smile had already made its way onto Midoriya's face, and the greenette hurried after his friend, walking behind him.
Midoriya ignored the way his heart raced at the thought of having to face even more people he didn't know, and walked after the placid blond. When it came to Bakugo, he knew he could get over something as simple as meeting a couple of new people...It couldn't be that hard.

Class 1A students, as Bakugo had introduced to Midoriya as "extras", were immediately all over Midoriya. Bakugo glanced at Midoriya and hurried away, making Midoriya glare at his back in realization of what just happened. Did he use me as a distraction to get me to answer all the questions?!
"Oh, Midoriya!" Sero greeted as he swung his hand over the couch, and leaned towards where Midoriya was standing in the hallway, taking off his shoes.
"Midoriya is here?!" Uraraka cheered as she peeked out from behind the kitchen wall.
"Midoriya!" Hagakure cheered as she stopped, having been walking with a cup of steaming hot chocolate when Midoriya had walked in. Midoriya laughed nervously as the rest of Class 1A students in the common room turned to look at him. Midoriya swallowed dry as he tried to calm down, his heart racing from so much attention directed onto him.
