Midoriya didn't talk to Togata, but he listened. He didn't respond, didn't answer, but he somewhat...Cooperated. In a way. Since, well, he was paying attention, his mind simply wandered elsewhere every now and then. He was trying to be polite, and hopefully, Togata recognized that. At least he wasn't asking him any questions, only speaking, which was good enough for Midoriya, since tuning people out has been something he was capable of, especially when it came to Toga's constant trivial chatter back when she...Back when she was we by his side. He wished he would have listened to her chatter more, important or not. Her voice had already nearly completely faded from Midoriya's memories...

But now isn't the time to be thinking about that. He had to focus. He had done his research on Chisaki, and although he was exhausted, mentally and slightly physically from all the writing, it was worth it. He might have already done more research and gathered even more information than the police, and it was all worth it. Because no one did the same for him, but he would do that for Eri.

He would save Eri. He would protect Eri. And he had a lot of information and a talent for analysis on his side, so he wouldn't hesitate. He was going to save her, and there was just no other possible solution.

Midoriya shook his head, focusing once again on the information he was still processing. Kai Chisaki, age 23. Supposedly has a daughter, but she might just be a kidnapped child, whose name he changed in order for the police to not find her records. His quirk is Overhaul, so is his villain name if I understand correctly. His quirk can assemble and disassemble living and possibly nonliving things. His quirk can be used like mine if tried hard enough. He might even be able to take quirks from others if he is smart enough, which he surely is if he's the leader.

He can't be underestimated. Probably has battling skills as well. His quirk is based on his hands, and this is where I have a small advantage, which is replaced by another huge disadvantage; he can most likely manipulate his surroundings, and that can make him almost unreachable. But...I have to do it. For Eri.

"...Let's make a promise." Togata suddenly said, his voice not as enthusiastic as it had seemed a few seconds ago. Midoriya side-eyed him, slightly quirking an eyebrow at the sudden change of tone. "Our main priority will be getting Eri out. We won't fight, we won't ignore each other, and we will act like real pros. Should I say "give me Eri", you'll give her to me, because there is no time to explain anything. Should you say "give me Eri", I'll do what you ask as well. Basically," Togata sighed and looked away, looking more casual as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Let's just stay friendly for now, okay? You can be mad all you want later." Midoriya stayed silent for a while.

"I'm not mad." Midoriya stated simply, his voice quiet but confident. Togata seemed to want to say something else, but Midoriya quickly interrupted him before he could, "And sure. About the promise, I mean. It makes sense. Our number one priority is Eri. We will not get distracted, and we will trust each other to handle the job, no matter what happens." Togata's mouth stayed agape for a few more seconds, hesitant, but then he nodded firmly, and the two made their way to the building belonging to the young head of the organization, feeling even more confident than ever.

It all happened fast, and Midoriya was lucky enough to have a gut feeling and quick reflexes, or else he might have ended up flying through the air like some of the pro heroes and cops from the large villain's sudden appearance and attack.

Midoriya and Togata, staying close together, left the rescuing of the falling people to the other heroes more fit for the job, and quickly made their way through the crowd, ignoring the punches and kicks aimed their way. Togata used his quirk for the attacks to pass through him, while Midoriya finally managed to make contact with one of the faces in the crowd, possessing the villain, and spinning around towards the building, no longer being attacked. He glanced over his shoulder, noticing that Nighteye and a few other heroes, including Kirishima and Amajiki, were also making their way through the crowd, and suddenly, he realized something he hadn't thought of before, and he pursed his lips in worry and annoyance. Questions about his quirk would definitely no longer be able to be avoided after the battle if they realize that Midoriya was the villain running not too far behind Togata. But right now, it didn't matter — Eri was their priority.
