"THAT'S ME." Cedric pointed out with a bright grin on his face.

"Bullshit!" Nevaeh had already got back on her feet with her wand pulled out, aimed directly towards Cedric, "Who the fuck are you? And don't bother lying to me. You're not Cedric, Cedric is dead." She swallowed the lump forming in her throat from the memory of him.

"Look, Nev, I know it's hard to understand this, but it's actually me. I'm Cedric. You have to believe me."

"Then, prove it. Tell me something only me and you would know." Nevaeh stood her stance, wand still strongly pointed out to the brown-haired boy in front of her.

Cedric took a moment to think for a decent, acceptable answer. His mind went to all the time they had spend together. From the mornings at the breakfast table, to the nights under the stars at the astronomy tower. From the afternoon picnic dates, to the evenings at the Hufflepuff common room finishing homework. Though, his mind settled on one particular night. Under a starry night, where they had often met and Nevaeh had displayed her vulnerable side out in the open to Cedric.

"I remember one time at the astronomy tower. We were watching the stars and you told me that your mother is a star." Cedric objected in hopes that what he'll say will convince Nevaeh enough, "And when I asked why, you said that because she wanted to be reborn as one. Which was something you remembered about your mother."

"Oh god, it's really you, Ced!" Nevaeh gasped, her voice almost a whisper. She ran to him and pulled him in for a warm embrace, savoring this heavenly moment, "Come on, everyone will be happy to see you." She was about to drag him with her to their shared friends, only to be stopped by Cedric's tug on her wrist.

"I'm sorry, Nev. I-I can't." Cedric stuttered, there was a glossy shine to his eyes, looked like the tears were going to fall any minute.

"Why not? You're back, aren't you?" Confusion was etched all over her face as she spoke.

"I'll explain everything, I swear. But let's go somewhere more rpivate."

Nevaeh hesitantly nodded, "Okay."

Cedric had led Nevaeh to the Forbidden Forest. He was not sure how to start explaining what happened to him. It's quite unbelievable, to say the least.
