V's POV
I slowly started walking down the empty streets of... the City of Vale, was it? With each passing second I was slowly starting to realize just what in the world happened to me. Clearly I was shot in the head, I was 100% sure of that. Then after getting shot, I was transported back in time? Into the future? Somewhere else completely? You could say that, despite being in a well-lit town, I was also in the middle of bum-fuck nowhere.
I stopped walking only when I noticed a shop. Speaking of which, it was the 'market district', surely there would be a market. And what do you get on the market? That's right! Information. Sometimes organs though, but we're not talking about it.
V: "From Dust Till Dawn?" I read the title out loud. "This a drug store?"
I slowly walked into the building, the doorbell ringing as I opened the door. The man behind the counter, most definitely a cashier, was about sixty years old. He wore a suit the shade of green and a red apron.
Huh, so this is actually a drug store. Why so fashionable though?
I looked around. The place contained... dust? Literal colorful dust lying in vials all around the place. There were also some quite impressive gems on the counter, but I ain't a punk to rob a random place in the middle of the night. Professionals have standards.
I walked right pass the man, not really wanting to talk to him. His eyes followed me, as I slowly walked to the back of the store. If it's a store, there are supposed to be magazines or something. If I can read a couple of those, I can at least tell where I am, perhaps?
At the back of the store, there were indeed some magazine shelves. There was also another customer. That much I could even tell before looking at them, as I heard the music blasting from the headphones the person had been wearing. The music was so loud, I could almost feel her slowly going deaf. Upon coming closer to the shelf, I examined the late-night visitor. It was a girl. She was wearing a red hood, red skirt and overall black outfit. Nice sense of style though. I wanted to ask her if she knew where the political newspapers (or should I say economic ones?) were, but I noticed the dry blood on my hands so I decided to pass on the idea. The girl was enjoying a good read and I didn't wanna ruin the evening for another person in this town. So instead I took a random magazine with a big 'Daily Reporter' on it and started analyzing the thing.
A doorbell rang, signaling me that someone else had entered the building. I threw a quick glance at them. Corpos? There were 6 people. Five of them were wearing dark suits with red ties and the last one, presumably the leader, was wearing a white suit and a fedora. What an interesting bunch. Well, I really wanted to do nothing with the corpos right now so I just went back to reading.
???: "Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?" I looked at the corpos again only to see one of them pointing a gun at the shop owner's face.
Hold on... Those aren't corpos. Those are just regular robbers in corpo clothing. Wonder if I can get any info from them. I am a 'professional' criminal after all.
3rd Person POV
V: "Somebody likes being the center of attention." A tall man walked into Roman's view, causing him to put down the dust crystal he'd been examining.
Several thugs instantly shifted. Two of them were still collecting the dust, while the other one was talking to someone at the back of the store, so the remaining two took their swords out and slowly walked up to V pointing the tips of their blades at the man's face.
Roman: "Excuse me?"
V: "Stickin' up a 24-hour store? Man, that's sad." The stranger was laughing at his face despite being threatened by two armed men. "What'd you do before, steal grannies' purses?"
