You can die in this reality the same way you can die irl, it's just a lot harder.
Make sure to script:
— Everyone has an extremely high pain tolerance
— Everyone has 3 cannon lives
— No one can break, dislocate or fracture any bones
— No one can suffer from frostbite, or any kind of burns.
— No one can get dehydrated in the nether
— No one get get a limb severed
— Everyone heals very fast
Trust me DON'T forget to put everyone, loopholes are a thing and I've heard they cause big problems.
Cannon Lives was also a difficult thing to explain. In the SMP to loose a Cannon Live means that your death was scripted by the writers. Which is a hard thing to make sense of when you are trying to shift there :/
I took that information of that and of a movie called Jumanji and mixed them together to make a sense of the Cannon Life mechanic.

On your wrist you have black bars to indicate how many Cannon Lives you have left.
Everyone starts off with 3 Cannon Lives and an infinite amount of regular ones.
Regular Lives — You loose these by getting killed by mobs, fall damage, drowning, or being jokingly killed by someone else.
Cannon Lives — To loose a Cannon Live is a bit harder. To loose a Cannon Live, someone else has to kill you with the intention of taking a Cannon Live. (This applies to other characters as well)
However this rule alters when you are on your last one. To loose your last life, either you or someone else has to be a direct cause of your death with the
intention of killing you 100% with no doubts or second thought. If you are killed and your murderer has any second thoughts during the process, when you respawn your remaining black bar will turn white. On the inside of that bar will contain the name of the person who failed their mission; and the only way for it to disappear is to confront them.
