hey, i actually got this chapter out very quickly <3
enjoy:
Virgil very soon found out who Remus was.
Virgil and Janus were standing by platform 9 ¾ , Sirius standing behind them with Ivy. Janus and Virgil had been talking about the sorting system of hogwarts for about an hour now and Virgil still didn't really get it. Janus had said that there wasn't really much importance to it anymore, it only determined where your dorm was, who you should go to class with, where you sat when you ate.
Not unnerving at all. Just a thing that would determine which strangers you'd have to be around for the next three years... not unnerving at all.
Virgil jumped as he heard what sounded like a squeal and then a crash from directly next to him where Janus was now laying on the ground with the guy that had apparently tacked him on top of him. Janus groaned as he pushed the guy off of him. Janus glared the other down as Sirius chuckled from behind them.
"Hello Remus." "Hey mister S." the guy said, turning to sit on his butt. "Hello princess." He continued, waving at Ivy who was giggling next to her farther. "Remus" Janus growled, his voice practically dripping venom, making the guy jump. "Ops, I think I hear someone calling. See you on the train dee!" Remus said, quickly getting up and running away.
"He seems interesting." Virgil said from right next to Janus, making the boy flinch as he had actually forgotten the other were there. "A little too interesting." Janus grumbled getting up and dusting off his clothes. Virgil was about to say something, though he was interrupted by what looked like a train conductor as she yelled something like: "Board the train! Leaves in 15 minutes!"
"Okay boys, you should get going. Remember, don't cause too much trouble," Sirius said, "and try to have fun this year Jan.". "yeah, yeah, whatever." Janus said hoisting his shoulder bag further up as he said goodbye to Sirius and Ivy.
As the two boys started to walk away Sirius held Virgil back, letting Janus board the train alone. "Virgil I need you to do me a favor." "Okay... Is it something I can actually do, or is it like... tame a pixie." Virgil asked, making Sirius chuckle. "No, no. I... Could you try to keep Janus out of trouble, he's had a bit of problems with some of the boys from his house. I just want to make sure there's someone there to take care of him, you know?" Sirius said, catching Virgil a bit off guard.
"uh- Ye-yeah, sure." Virgil said, his surprise seeping into his voice. "Five minutes 'till leaving" the train-conductor-woman yelled. There weren't many students left on the platform except Virgil. He quickly said goodbye to Sirius and Ivy as he hurried onto the train.
The train car was composed by a couple of compartments and a rather narrow hall. Virgil walked down the hall looking at the compartments searching for Janus and potentially the guy that'd tackled him earlier. His rather peaceful walk down the hall was interrupted by someone forcefully pulling him into a compartment by the back of his shirt. Virgil turned around quickly, making whoever had a hold on him let go as Virgil faced the guy, utterly relieved when he saw that it was Janus. "You are lucky you have my wand, or you'd be paralyzed right now." Virgil growled pushing the other back, making Janus laugh. "Yeah, duh. Why do you think I took it." Janus chuckled.
