56 days until school start:
Virgil had been at the Black's residence for a couple of weeks. He'd met Kreacher the second day: not exactly the nicest house elf. Virgil honestly hadn't liked him much, but at least he was trying to be nice; compared to Sirius he was being an angel.
Ivy had wormed up to him a bit; they were sitting in the Livingroom waiting for her brother to get home. Virgil was sitting on a chair opposite of the couch, the main reason being that then he would be able to see if someone came into the room without having to turn around.
Sirius went to pick up his son about an hour ago. He'd said that they were the about the same age. Virgil had never really talked to anybody the same age as him, he'd never even really seen anybody the same age as him other than a glimpse, so it was safe to say he was more than a bit nervous.
When the front door finally opened, a teenage boy, who looked more like a muggle than anything else, entered with Sirius. He had straightened hair that was bleached, though it seemed to have been a while ago, so the roots were grown out. He had the same kind of light-skinned patches as his sister though his were placed quite differently. He wore very dark clothes that were definitely from the muggle world. He also wore a bunch of different accessories; chains, leather bracelets, necklaces and he also seemed to be wearing eyeliner.
The kid, Janus, practically stormed into the living room, stopping short once he saw Virgil sitting on the couch. "Dee!" Ivy yelled, smiling from ear to ear, though that was quickly interrupted. "Oh god, you were serious." Janus mumbled as he spun around, "Are you insane?!" he yelled as he faced his farther. Ivy's smile dropped. "He is a murderer! a Death Eater. How the hell could you let him into our house?! Let him take care Ivy?! What is wrong with you!" Janus yelled at Sirius, who looked like he had been waiting for this for hours. Which he probably had.
After about five minutes of fighting Ivy had started crying, so when neither of the two guys noticed, Virgil guided her to her room on the second floor. he wanted to get away from the fighting as much as she did. "Why do they always fight..." Ivy mumbled, almost inaudibly, from her place on the bed. They could still hear the fighting downstairs. "Do they act like this often?" Virgil asked as he went over to sit next to the child. Ivy nodded as she hugged the other, sobbing into his chest. Virgil tensed up quite a bit, though he eventually hugged the little girl back trying to comfort her.
"You're mental. My farther is mental." Janus stated as he stormed into the kitchen. "Come on dee. He's not a danger to any of us." Sirius said, following his son. "He. Is. A. Murderer." Janus repeated, turning around to face his farther.
"He's not. Janus, He's never killed anyone. Just..." Sirius sighed, trying to cane up with something that would get through to his son. " Just give him a chance, he really looked forward to meeting you." Sirius said, nudging his son's shoulder. "Just give him a chance dee, he's been through a lot. Plus, just look at how easily Ivy opened up to him, and you know how nervous she is with new people." Sirius said as Janus crossed his arms over his chest and rolled his eyes.
"Bet you didn't tell her your new pet was a Death Eater." Janus growled, stepping away from his farther. "Dee... Remember when you first went to school?" Sirius said making his son sit across from him by the kitchen table. "This is nothing like that. I was eleven and people didn't like me because they thought I'd turn into a dog and... eat them or something. He is a criminal that you, for some reason, invited into our home" Janus snarled, leaning back in the chair. "and he was forced to. Janus he isn't some monster, he's just... unlucky. You two are actually a lot alike, just... try to get along?" Sirius pleaded.
