New chapter. At least this one got made faster than the other ones, I guess the whole "this week" thing, kinda of went out the figurative window though.
You should thank my English teacher that this chapter came out so fast and there isn't a month wait: she gave us some homework I didn't want to do, so now I'm doing this instead.
Either way, as always, you are welcome to come with constructive criticism as well as correct me if I make a mistake while writing. You can come with ideas for the book as well, seeing as I am open for suggestions.
Anyways, hope you enjoy the chapter.
It had gone wrong.
Adrian threw a mask at Virgil, which he only barely caught. after having looked at it for a few seconds, shot the tree questioning looks. "why exactly do you think I'm going to be any help" Virgil asked sharply. "we don't, but Bella wanted you to come." Letitia replied instantly, her focus still being on the building across the street. You know how... persuasive, she can be." Adrian said as well as he put his own mask on.
Every Death Eater had one of these masks. Most of them had it to hide their identity, others put it on for the effects sake and then there were those that didn't care if people knew who they were or not, so they didn't even use theirs. Of course, then there were Cassandra who always wore a mask. Her mask was different though, it was white with nothing really on it. The other masks were made of what looked like metal with all kinds of different patterns on. Virgil's had, what looked like, dark lightning spreading from the left top corner of the mask. He never really liked the mask, there was nothing wrong with the mask itself, he just didn't like the massage it came with.
" okay?... So, 5if you want to kill an Auror, why are we standing out here? You two are usually some of the most impulsive ones" Virgil asked, slightly annoyed , to witch Adrian responded "oh, were just waiting for the fight to start.". Virgil raised an eyebrow, urging him to explain, but Adrian just turned around joining Letitia in staring at the bar. So, there for Virgil turned to Cassandra, changing the subject slightly. "how many are we?" he asked, getting a respond by Cassandra holding seven of her fingers up.
seven against four. Usually that's a pretty good chance, but Virgil didn't really count himself since he wasn't really the best at the magic part, which was fair considering his age, unfortunately not everybody thought this way. Virgil looked over at the small pub again, well more like he looked at the people inside and outside the building. It was obvious to him that they were in the wizarding world, everybody was warring capes, robes and attire like that, and they were most likely still in England. There had been a couple of instances where they had gone to another country, mostly in Europe though.
He looked at the building again, this time focusing on the inside of it. It looked a lot smaller on the inside than on the outside, it had dim, warm lighting. Most of the furniture on the inside were made of dark wood while the main color in the decorations were red. There weren't that many people in there, a few couples, some people alone, and then a group sitting at a table in the back, he assumed those to be the auror's. he couldn't see them clearly, but he recognized one of them to be mad eye moody, while one of the others he would guess were Sirius. The others he couldn't see from afar, but he guessed one of them were Tonks, he couldn't be sure though and then the last of them looked to be younger, they were male and had blonde almost white hair going down to his shoulders, but that was the only thing Virgil could see from afar.
Virgil put his mask on as he saw a couple going towards the auror's who he assumed to be Death Eaters. The two people were both in dark cloak's, their head bent down so you couldn't see their faces.
The auror's table had gone quiet, none of them talking anymore as everyone around the table tensed up. The two figures moved closer at a slow pace until one of the auror's, mad eye moody, suddenly shot up, out of his chair firring some sort of spell at one of the people walking towards them. The death Eaters outside all turned into dark smoke, Adrian quickly grabbing Virgil's wrist, transporting Virgil into the building as well as himself.
The inside of the pub quickly turned into what looked like a light show, spells and cursed going through the air in colorful waves of light. Every civilian in the building had either run out or tried hiding within the building, many going behind the bar, the tables and other furniture.
Meanwhile Virgil had been panicking slightly over the sudden progression of the fight, as everything turned into chaos around him. A few of the death eaters had ben flung back, not being able to block the spell headed for them. Sirius had been hit by the Diffindo charm, it wasn't too serious, but it had clearly still hit him seeing how severely his arm was bleeding, but still, it could have been worse.
Virgil had gone mostly defensive after the initial shock of being pulled into a fight. He had mostly just blocked attacks from himself and a few civilians. By this point both sides had been hit, though the death eaters were down by numbers now, only three of them still standing, Virgil being one of those three, Letitia and Bellatrix being the other two. The auror's still had everyone standing, though some of them seemed to be hurt as well, but at least most of them had figured out that Virgil didn't attack, only defending for himself and the verry few people still in the building. Of course, they still couldn't see who he was because of the mask, but since neither of the woman had their masks on, so he was easy to recognize.
Bellatrix pulled up a girl by her hair from behind I table, holding her wand to the girl's neck. Everybody had tensed up a small bit, well except for Letitia who looked more excited than anything as she walked over to Bella, Virgil however was standing still as a rock, about five meters from his mother. the auror's had stopped moving too. Virgil was slightly stunned at this turn of even, the whole point of going out of their way to a pub was to kill a specific auror and now this was some sort of hostage situation.
"wands down." She demanded, her voice slightly higher pitched than usual. They slowly put their wands down on the floor, Sirius moving quickly since he knew what she could do, while some of them like mad eye moody, bent down slowly, obviously waiting for an opening.
Virgil was still standing completely still, his thoughts being loud and fierce like a forest wildfire; he wanted to help the girl his mother was holding, but he knew there would be consequences for it, but at the same time, if he didn't do anything it'd properly end in at least one death, if not more. So, he did the only thing he could think of to help.
"Expelliarmus."
I'm not that sorry for the slight cliffhanger, but if it annoys you, sorry. (it's my story I can do what I want)
I am however sorry for the wait, I've just been lacking inspiration, I've had half of the chapter done for a while, but I want all of them to reach 1000 words at least. I'm having a good day today though, so here you go, I made the rest.
