Hey, it's Idun, this is my first time writing a book, so if it's bad you are more than welcome to come with constructive criticism or write about any spelling or grammar mistakes. I hope you enjoys the story nonetheless.

Virgil was standing silently outside the door in the hall, a hall that he had never been in before, but nevertheless already hated. He didn't dislike anything particular about the hall itself, he just hated it because he knew what was going on in the room next to him. Just that alone made him hate the entire house and everything around it, not to talk about the people inside. He hated everyone in the house, that's a lie, he hated everything they did, everything they stood for. Furthermore, he hated the sounds he could hear, he hated the sounds more than anything. The 'oh so awful' sound that he couldn't take his focus of, was a woman screaming, a scream of pure agony and pain. The second worst thing was, that he knew who was causing it.

The woman that was screaming, was the same woman that lived the house, and the only reason that Virgil was now standing in her hall, was that she knew something the death eaters wanted to know.

Unfortunately for Virgil, she wouldn't give up whatever she knew. Virgil knew that when she did tell them, they would kill her, he just wanted it to end, for the screams to stop. Then the realization that he was wishing for the death of someone else hit him, and then the guilt would eat him from the inside out. This was sadly the cycle that appeared often, of course he didn't want to come, but his mother always dragged him with her.

Virgil's train of thought was interrupted when the screams stopped, leaving behind an eerie silence. Virgil could feel a shiver running up his spine, knowing what the silence meant. he almost jumped two feet in the air when the door next to him suddenly slammed open, his mother walking out the door with a pep in her step. After her Cassandra walked out, a mask covering her face and dark robes covering the rest of her body, she had always creeped Virgil out, jet in a strangely calming way.

The two didn't acknowledge his presence, seeing as they just started making their way downstairs. Vigil didn't mind though, he knew that if they did, his mother would start making comments that he should be in the room next time. Virgil looked down, dreading going downstairs but still feeling like he couldn't stay in the same spot much longer. He stretched out his right arm, to the now only slightly open door, and gently closed it. he pushed himself off of the wall and started silently making his way down the stairs.

As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he was met with four expecting pair of eyes. One pair of eyes belonged to Cassandra (though you couldn't really see her eyes for her mask), another belonged to Abner, a dark haired man in his late twenties, wearing a dark robe with red accents, and the last belonged to Bellatrix Lestrange, and Greyback. The attention made his anxiety spike, though he maintained the cold, bored expression on his face, the only difference being him raising an eyebrow. the reaction was immediate, Abner scoffing and saying that they were going, afterwards turning into black smoke and flying away, the others following suit.

the only one staying behind with Virgil was Cassandra, silently waiting, with an outstretched hand. Vigil sighed, but wordlessly walked over to her and put his hand in hers, the second they touched, they also turned to smoke and left. the only thing left, being and cold, silent house.

-------------------------------------------------

When they appeared at the house, that originally had ben Abner's, but was now used as a death eater base, Virgil immediately split from the rest of the 'group', going quietly to his room. He opened the door, the first thing he saw was the window right across from it. He gently closed the door, being careful as to not make any noise, and took of his shoes, putting them next to the door. He walked lightly over to the dresser, knowing that the others were properly sitting around the table in the dining room, that was placed just beneath his room. He opened the dresser, and quickly changed out of the dark robes he was wearing, into a light gray T-shirt and a pair of black shorts.

He walked over to the bed, bringing his wand. He immediately flopped down on the bed, throwing his wand over his head so it still was on the bed and in reaching distance, and just looked blankly at the ceiling. He knew he should be used to it by now, but he still hated the silence that followed after they had been 'out'. Every time he let his mind run loose, he could hear their screams, he could see his mother's gleeful look as she hurt them, he could see them cower in fear.

Virgil opened his eyes, suddenly remembering where he was and what was happening. He griped his wand summoning a book from his collection, the book flying across the room. Virgil brushed his thumb over the title, mumbling it out loud "charms: an extensive study, 4", he had begun to read it and practice some of the spells earlier that week, but hadn't had motivation or time to continue before now. he started reading, practicing a few of the charms, but it ultimately led to him having to stop, because he heard footsteps from down the hall. He kept looking at the book, but he didn't focus on the text.

Before he knew it, his door was pushed open, the door knob being smashed into the wall, making a slight dent in it. Virgil's mother, Bellatrix, walked in, smiling a slightly crazy smile, but nonetheless smiling, which was a hell of a lot better than when she wasn't. Virgil looked expectantly up at her. Bellatrix just smiled at him, turned away and skipped over to the window, putting both her hands on the windowsill looking out. Virgil got up and went over to her and looked out the window, trying to find out what she was looking at.

There was silence for a while, Virgil's eyes flickering between his mother, who was still smiling, and the outside, still trying to figure out what she was looking at. Virgil opened his mouth to say something, but hesitantly closing it again. Suddenly Bellatrix stood up straight and skipped out of the room, not closing the door behind her, and not saying a word. Virgil of course thought that this was strange, but he didn't dwell on it, seeing as his mother was pretty weird to say the least, she would be extremely loud sometimes, but other times she would just be quiet.

Virgil just sat there for a second, waiting for nothing particular. He then stood up, walking over to the door, and closing it. He looked numbly at the damage in the wall from the doorknob, he didn't bother fixing it, it didn't matter to him anyway. He just sighed, getting ready for bed.

He was laying on his bed, slowly falling asleep. He did however know that he would wake up in a couple hours from a nightmare. Just like he always did.
