Melody awoke the next morning with Quinn practically yelling in her ear. She rubbed her eyes tiredly and slowly began to wake up.
"About time, you've already missed breakfast," Quinn complained.
"Tell Dumbledore I've caught a cold," Melody yawned.
"You owe me!"
"I know!" she shouted back
Quinn and the few other girls that were still in the dorm left and went to classes, allowing Melody to fall back asleep.
Melody heard the door open and footsteps walking towards her.
"Quinn?" Melody questioned, not turning around.
"Even better," a familiar voice said.
She turned around to see Harry with a bowl of soup. Harry Potter was many things, but not a chef.
"I overheard Quinn telling Dumbledore you were sick, and I decided to make something that is guaranteed to heal you," he said as he set the soup on her nightstand next to the bed.
"Harry, that's really sweet, but I'm not sick," Melody chuckled and sat up. "But I will still eat the soup, only because I missed breakfast."
"Brilliant!"
"You need a new line." Melody sat up and picked up the bowl. She dipped the spoon into the bowl and tasted it. A look of surprise took over as she commented, "this is really good."
"Don't sound so surprised."
"You totally didn't make it," she accused.
"What a big accusation." Harry put his hand over his heart dramatically. "Fine. I didn't make it."
"Figured."
"I best be on my way, I don't wanna be absent the whole day," he smiled. "Eat up. You need to eat." He smiled again before stuffing his hands into his pocket and walking out.

Quinn practically ran into the dorm with a huge smile on her face. Melody chuckled at her enthusiasm and asked, "why are you so smiley?"
"Cedric gave me a ring!" she said happily.
"He proposed to you!?" Melody furrowed her eyebrows.
"No, idiot. We're still teenagers! Cedric gave me a promise ring!" Quinn expanded her hand to show the ring, which had; a silver base, with an emerald jewel on top.
Melody recognized it to be a family heirloom, particularly her mother's ring, the exact ring her father gave to her mother as a promise ring. Melody was a bit confused as to why Cedric gave her a promise ring so early in, but she was happy for her.
"That's amazing, Quinn."
"I know, the ring is amazing but..." Quinn trailed off. "Cedric started rambling about life after Hogwarts, which I was fine with until..."
"Until what?"
"He started talking about children. I don't think I want children, Mel. I'm probably overthinking this," Quinn sighed. She plopped down next to Melody.
"You all still have time before you graduate. If I know Cedric, which I do, he'd be willing to back away from the whole children's ordeal. For you."
"I don't want Cedric to give up something so big for me, that's the problem. If he wants kids, he should have kids, I shouldn't be the one to stop him."
"You two still have time to figure this out. If you want, I can tell Cedric to step down a bit, only if you want though."
"No it's fine, I'll talk to him myself." She stood up and began walking out of the room. Just as she reached the dorm frame, she said, "wish me luck."
