Melody's eyes fluttered open. She noticed it was still dark outside since she couldn't feel the sunlight shine down as usual. She checked Harry's alarm and read: 3:32 AM

Melody tried to keep her breathing patterns regular, so she wouldn't wake Harry but failed.

"Still awake?" Harry asked in a raspy voice.

"I just woke up." She closed her eyes in an attempt to fall back asleep. "I can leave if you want, I know it's late, and I probably woke you."

"No, no, I'm enjoying your company," Harry whispered.

Melody snuggled deeper into his chest, and Harry stroked her hair, putting her back to sleep.

-------

Melody's eyes fluttered open once again due to Harry whispering-shouting for her to wake up.

"Wake up, sleeping beauty," Harry chuckled. Melody smiled, but her eyes remained closed. "Come on. I know you're awake." He started tickling her sides, causing Melody to smile even more.

Melody's eyes finally opened, and she sat up. "Thank you for letting me stay here, but I should probably go." Melody left Harry's room before she could get a response. The smile was not leaving her face anytime soon.

"Why are you all smiley?" she heard a voice say.

Quinn.

"Nothing."

"Does this have to do with you not being in our dorm last night?" She smirked.

Melody playfully rolled her eyes and went to her dorm to get ready for the day.

------
Melody and Quinn had just arrived in The Great Hall when whispers filled the room. Quinn furrowed her eyebrows in response to the whispers, and Melody just shook her head. They went to sit by Seamus and Dean, who were the only people who didn't move away from them when they sat down.

"What's going on?"

Seamus gave Dean a look and handed Melody The Daily Prophet. She leaned over to Quinn so she could read it as well. The article was about her mom and dad. People thought that Melody was working for them. Melody scoffed and handed them their copy back.

"Don't worry, Dean and I don't think you have anything to do with her."

"Thank you."

"Who could've leaked the story? And your father? I thought your dad was Amos?" Quinn questioned.

"Long story, but Malfoy knows too. I think he leaked it," Melody said, taking a bite of her food. "But he told me he wouldn't say anything, but then and again, he's Malfoy. I'll be back."

Melody walked over to the Slytherin table, looking for Malfoy. On her way through, she heard whispers about the recent article.

"I swear it wasn't me. I gave you my word I wouldn't say anything," said Malfoy.

"You were the only one that knew who would cross me," Melody scoffed. "It's only logical that it was you."

"I promise, it wasn't me."

"I almost believe you."

"Give me truth serum, and you will get your answer," he replied.

"Potions classroom. At eight," she spoke before storming off.

--------
Throughout the whole day, everyone had ignored Melody except her friends, and the exception of Draco. Melody decided to go to The Black Lake, the only place where no one would be whispering about her. Melody began reading over an assignment for charms when suddenly someone jumped out.

"Hello, I'm Rita Skeeter. I write for The Daily Prophet. I was wondering if I can ask you a few questions." She took out a notepad and a quill.

"What-who even let you on Hogwarts grounds-"

"Not important, so would that be a yes or a no?"

Melody decided to answer a few questions. Only because she thought it was essential people hear her side of the story.

"The clip that we were sent last night showed you and another student, Draco Malfoy. We heard him say something about a totem...care to enlighten us?" Rita asked.

"No."

"Ok then, next question. Did you know your mother and father were alive?"

"I only knew about my mom for a month, and my father has not been confirmed."

"You're close with Harry Potter, right?"

"Yes, but I don't see how that's relevant."

"It's not," Rita said shortly. "Anyway, do you believe your father is alive?"

"I don't know - it's not impossible," Melody stammered.

"Mhm, are you and Harry Potter in a relationship?" she asked.

"How is my love life relevant to any of this? And no, we are not."

"Are you working with your mother?"

"No, and I'm reporting you to Professor Dumbledore. You shouldn't be here."

--------

Melody checked her watch; it was eight 'O clock, which meant it was time to go to the potions classroom. Once Melody entered, Draco was sat in his usual assigned seat.

Melody searched Snape's desk for a truth serum, probably going to get detention for it. She saw the bottled label and took it out. Melody slammed the small vial onto his desk. "Drink," she demanded. Draco immediately downed the vial.

"Did you leak the story about my mother to Rita Skeeter?" Melody asked sternly.

"I did not," Draco replied truthfully.

"Who do you think did?"

"Pansy. It wouldn't be the first time she outed you," he replied.

~Flash back~

"Let's take a look at Melody's diary," Pansy snickered.

"Stop!" shouted Melody.

"Interesting..." smirked Pansy. "' I sat by Hermione in charms today, I really like her, I think I have a crush on her,'" Pansy read from her diary. She dramatically gasped, "Does Melody fancy the ladies?"

"Shut up!" Quinn shouted.

"Dear sister, why would I?"

"Give it back!"

"Let's read the next page, shall we?" She announced to the crowd. "'I've been questioning my sexuality lately, I think I'm pansexual, but I'm unsure still,'" Pansy read.

"Give my sister her diary back!" Cedric shouted.

"Just for you, Ced," she ruffled his hair and handed him the diary.

~End of Flashback~

"You're right. You can go," Melody sighed.

"For what it's worth, I'm sorry she did that to you," said Draco. "And I didn't tell Rita anything."

-
"Pansy. She leaked the story," Melody said to her brother.

"Should've known," mumbled Cedric. "Let's go."
