The next morning, Harry was awoken to a peck on the window. He slowly got up, making sure not to wake Melody. He opened the window to see what he recognized to be Leo's owl. He took off the letter attached to it and began reading.

Dear Melody,

Your hearing has been moved up to today. The sooner we can do it, the less guilty it'll make you seem. Be ready by 8:00 AM today. Dahlia will be there, so will Arthur Weasley, who I hear you're close with. I won't be able to make it; I have an appointment with a contractor. (today is the last day for renovating the manor). Anyway, good luck!

Leo

Harry checked the time; it was 7:00 A.M, so he figured it was time to wake Melody. He shook her awake. Surprisingly she woke up the first time.

"It's the weekend," Melody mumbled.

"I know." He handed her the letter.

She read it carefully and groaned. "I'll be back. I have to get dressed for this hearing. Thank you for waking me up." After exchanging a total of eight "I love you's" since Harry was extra clingy, she went to her dorm to get dressed.

At The Ministry

Melody didn't know where her mother was, so she just walked aside Arthur Weasley into their version of a courtroom.

"I believe you've never done this before, so just sit in the chair and wait until they start asking questions," Arthur instructed. "Good luck, Melody."

She gulped and sat in the chair. Fudge started the trial without Dahlia so he'd feel less intimidated, which made Melody even more nervous. "We are here in offenses committed by Melody Petrova-Diggory," stated Fudge.

"Where the hell is she," Melody muttered. She was tapping her foot anxiously.

As if someone heard her, Dahlia's heels clicked in the room. She wore a black pantsuit with red heels and lipstick. Her hair was put in a high ponytail, and she carried a red leather purse.

"Defense for Melody Petrova-Diggory," said Dahlia.

"Mrs. Petrova, you cannot step in if you are late. It's against the law."

"It sure wasn't a problem when Albus came to represent Harry Potter in his third year," she challenged.

"Well, yes," he agreed. "But that was Dumbledore-"

"So you're saying because Albus is a man, it's different, correct?" Dahlia raised an eyebrow.

"Well, no, Mrs. Petrova."

"You will allow me to represent my daughter," she ordered.

"I can't-"

"Would you like everyone here to know-"

"Dahlia Petrova-McLane will be representing Melody Petrova-Diggory!" He quickly said. Dahlia flashed a fake smile before taking a seat next to Melody.

"The charges against the accused are the following; Killing-Valencia Petrova, Lucious Malfoy, and Ethan and Jay Alder," spoke the minister. "The final charges against Melody Petrova-Diggory: using magic outside school and performing the Cruciatus Curse."
