Chapter 14

Cuz' baby I'm baaack! Heyooo, sorry I haven't updated for so long, honestly I have no excuses, just the fact that I really got bored of this story and I was too busy with my brother sooo haha I'm back anyway :p

*3rd person P.O.V*

As Shyera glided down the stairs she saw no one was around but she saw Jenna pointing a crossbow at  Alaric

"Jenna, put the crossbow down, okay? It's me."

"Stay away from me."

"What's going on?" Shyera asked, At this point, Damon, Stefan, Elijah and Elena joined them.

"It's me, Shay, I swear, okay? He let me go. Klaus let me go."

"Prove it" Said Damon

Alaric looked from them to Jenna, "Okay, uh, first night you and I spent together, Jeremy walked right in when I was about to-"

"Okay. It's him." Interrupted Jenna while she put the crossbow down

They walked into the living room and made Ric sit down. "So you don't remember anything that happened?" Questioned Stefan

"No. It's like I blacked out and woke up 3 days later. Katherine was there." Alaric added.

"She's under compulsion. Damon snuck her some vervain, but she can't leave until Klaus tells her she can." Said Stefan 

"Where is Damon?" Asked Elena 

"I saw him go upstairs." Answered Jenna 

Elena stood up and started walking out of the living room. 'As usual, she thinks she can handle Damon in one of his moods, honestly that girl needs to learn that not everyone thinks she's a good like the Salvatore's think she is.' Shayera thought as she rolled her eyes inwardly.

"You disappeared" Said Elena 

 "I don't want to hear anymore." Said Damon in a dismissive tone

"I need you to understand why I'm doing this." And to Shayera's surprise, if she concentrated hard enough she could hear them speak, but not very clearly, just enough to make out most of the words. She gasped, how was she able to do that? The first thing that popped into her head was her powers, so she concentrated even harder to hear better.

"Why? It clearly doesn't matter what I think." Snapped Damon. Shayera could hear clearly now, she was impressed.

"I'll be fine, Damon. I'll drink the elixir, Bonnie will kill Klaus and then all of this will finally be over." 

"If it works."

"It will work"

"You think it will work. You want it to work. Why am I the only one who's convinced it won't? There has to be another way."

"There isn't" Said Elena

"And you're going to die, Elena." He pleaded 

"And then I'll come back to life."

"That is not a risk I'm willing to take."

Shayera inwardly smiled at that, 'if Elena knew how much she meant to Damon she'd realize how much those words mean to him, no matter how he said it. No one would ever love me as much as Damon loves Elena, they're meant to be together.' Thought Shayera.

"But I am" Shay sighed at that. She couldn't see what was happening but she knew Damon or Elena did something very subtle. 

"It's my life, Damon. My choice."
