It's been a few days since the whole Great Devourer thing happened and the boys were fixing up the city. Nya was trying to find a place for all of us to live since Lloyd needed to be trained and apparently so did I since I was Lloyds shadow and Wu said I needed to train more. ANYWAY, Nya gave Jay a card for some agent to find us a home and the boys picked up me and Lloyd from the park we were staying at while everyone worked. A bonding time I guess.

"This one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach? Now, wait until you see the lighting." Patty introduced us to an ugly apartment and turned on the light. The light bulb only flickered and broke. "Uh, who needs lights when you have this view? Heh." She opened the window's blinds and the view was just a brick wall. Perfect to smash my face in later or a serpents.

Lloyd looked around before commenting about how the place smelled like old people. "Look, doll. I'm trying to work around your budget. This is all you can afford." Patty said annoyed. I pulled Lloyd closer to me and glared at her. "Uh, this looks...promising. Remember, guys, Sensei told us our main objective is to train Lloyd and (Y/n), not kick our feet up in some swanky suite. If this is all we can afford, this is all we can afford." Cole tried to be uplifting but it wasn't helping at all.

Jay looked around before looking back at Cole. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, let's not rush into any decision. I mean, if it's really all about Lloyd and (Y/n), don't we need to live in someplace that'll make training easier?" "Yeah, Jay's right. If we have to get Lloyd ready to save Ninjago from his father, shouldn't he at least have his own room?" Kai add. I know these idiots just want a better place.

I crossed my arms as Zane was about to say that it didn't matter but Kai gently punched his chest. " We're only thinking about the children, hehe." Jay smiled. " I do have another property that you'll just love." I sigh as Patty led us to another apartment. Patty, what a stupid name.

Patty led us to a fancy room that was atop a skyscraper. We whoa-ed as we walked in. "Now, this is the eight-bedroom Hero Suite. Floor-to-ceiling windows, digital wall television, state-of-the-art game console..." " Uh, it seems a little out of our price range." Cole cut her off, seeing how nice the place is. Patty mentioned something about a dragon keep on the roof which is odd that they just have that. Jay tried to get a hero discount but Patty brought up that Garmadon was the real hero. Kai brought up getting day jobs and Zane agreed. But Kai did a 180 and said that we had to train me and Lloyd. Patty mentioned that there was a training facility in the room and the boys said they would take it.

Apparently, Jay became a pizza delivery guy, Cole was a guard for the bank, Zane became a cook, and Kai was a party entertainer. Yikes. Well anyways, while they were trying to fill up a jar for this month's rent, I had to somehow train myself and Lloyd. HOW DO I TRAIN MYSELF WHEN I ALREADY KNOW SO MUCH!? Plus how much more can I learn from the others? I trained with them since the beginning! I mainly focused on training Lloyd.

When the boys came back from work one day, Cole had to soak his feet in ice water. Lloyd punched a punching bag but it swung back and hit him in the face. I laughed at him. Cole complained about his feet, Kai got flashbacks from the kids he had to entertain, Zane was putting oil in his arm, surprised his gears could lock up, and Jay was too tired to even play video games which is the biggest surprise. " Oh, but I thought you were going to train me and (Y/n) when you got home," Lloyd said as we walked over. " Sorry, champ, but we can't until we make rent. How close are we, Jay?"

Jay crawled over to the jar. "Huh, is this jar getting bigger? We're not even close!" Zane put more oil in his arm as he informed us that rent was due tomorrow. " I can pull a double shift." " And I can do overtime." " Maybe, I can sling a few more pizza pies." " And maybe I can make a little extra if I do the human pinata." We all looked at Kai with worry. " Ugh, don't ask."  "Great, then our priorities are set. Tomorrow.. we make rent." Cole said.

Lloyd asked about us. " How about you help out and fetch me some more ice huh?" Lloyd mumbled and went to get more Ice. " I feel bad for you guys," I said and sat down next to kai. " You ok buddy? Try not to get flashbacks to the war, the war of  little kids." Kai glared at me and told me to shut up.

The boys were back at work and me and Lloyd were 'training.' If you count playing video games as training. I stopped playing when I saw the reflection of the outside on the screen. OH FUCK IT' SKALES. Don't tell anyone I swore but holy First Spinjitzu Master! I pointed out Skales to Lloyd and we ran. We tried to open the door but we didn't know the password. WHY IS THERE A PASSWORD TO GET OUT!? Skales cut open a circle in the glass and came over to us. " What do you want with us!?" Lloyd asked the blue serpent. " You sssseem to be the only thing your father cares about. But with you in my hostage, he'll have no other choice but to let me lead the Serpentine!" Skales pinned us against the door. " Letssss, train." Pedophile. There was a knock on the door and Sensei Wu's voice could be heard. " Hello? What's going on in there?" " HELP!" Me and Lloyd yelled at the same time.

" Lloyd? (Y/n)?" The 4 ninja looked around for us. "They're not here," Zane replied. " Oh, we shouldn't have left them." " We shouldn't have taken those jobs in the first place. What were we thinking? Losing Lloyd was by far our greatest loss." Kai and Cole said as Wu, Lloyd, and I came into view. " But it could be your greatest lesson." The ninja shouted our names, happy we were ok. " We weren't going to be until Nya and Sensei showed up at the last moment!" Lloyd said,  a tad angry we almost got kidnapped. "I go away for a day and everything falls apart," Nya added. " I guess you could say we learned we don't need all the fancy stuff. We just need each other." Kai smiled.

Sensei asked if that meant he wanted our help to clean up.  Kai said that we are a team. Wu said it was time for another road trip before Cole cut in. "Hold on, I got a better idea."

We moved to the first apartment. "It's not much, but this one-bedroom, one-half-bath is a cozy dream. Who needs extras when everything is in arm's reach?" Cole mocked Patty. Lloyd walked past Jay and accidentally knocked into him with a chair which made Jay drop a box on Kai. Jay said that it felt like home to him after Kai ow-ed in pain. " Hey, at least we get to stay in Ninjago City for a little while," Jay added. " I got a feeling we will be in the City a lot more in the future," I said, putting my bat plushie on a bed.

"And now without the distractions, we can put all of our energy into training Lloyd and (Y/n)" Zane added. Lloyd asked who was there since the chair was in his face. I helped him carry it, calling him a big goof. "I know the Serpentine Generals got away, but you never told us. Whatever happened to Skales?" Kai asked. " Oh, he found a home too. But it's not quite as roomy as here." Sensei Wu snickered, knowing that Skales is in prison now.
