(Author's Note: This chapter is loosely based on Love Live School Idol Project Season 2 episode 4: Best Idol in the Universe. This time it's Mika's turn to tell her frustration about not being able to form her own school idol group in her second year of high school. With that being said. Let's begin chapter twenty.)
Flashback:
Two years ago.
Mika Yazawa thought that being in the same school that her parents used to go to would be easy as pie for her. Having watched videos of Maki and Nico when they were still school idols. She decided to join the Idol Research Club. The very same club that her mom formed. Thinking that the Love Live competition will happen again. She tried her best to convince the former club president to form their own school idol group.
She was able to succeed in convincing her to form a new school idol group. However things didn't worked out after that. For starters Love Live organizers have long retired from the scene. Then school bands became the in thing after the last staging of Love Live. Otonokizaka High School and UTX Academy didn't participate anymore after winning the first two stagings.
And then the rise of high school and professional male idols has soon overturned the popularity of female idols both in the school and professional levels. By the time she became a sophomore. Things have turned south for the club. She once again tried her best to get new members after she was chosen to become the new club president. Elena Ayase and Najenda Toneri weren't able to help her since they have their hands full as the new student council.
The raven haired girl with purple eyes soon began to get frustrated. She's now pressured in trying to get new members. If she can't get the minimum required number of members for the club. It will be stripped of it's budget and disbanded. This made Mika become a loner most of the time. But she never showed it to her parents. She's just like her mom Nico who kept her true feelings to herself. With Hanabi Kobayashi forming Aphrodite. She didn't bother to tell them to give up. Unlike Nico who tried to convince Honoka into giving up on being a school idol.
End of flashback.
Present day.
Hanabi and the rest of Aphrodite are now in front of the Idol Research Club room. Being the leader of the group. She breathes slowly and relaxes. She looks at her group mates and they give her the thumbs up to boost her confidence. Since she's a Honoka Kousaka fan. She too is not good with words. But she has to do it otherwise Aphrodite will not be part of the Idol Research Club.
Hanabi: (sighs) Well...... Here goes nothing.
????: Who is it?
Hanabi: Uh...... Mika-san...... I'm Hanabi Kobayashi the leader of Aphrodite. I have something important to tell you.
Mika: If it's a message from Chairwoman Minami-Sonoda saying that I should disband the club. Tell her that I will start packing things up this Friday.
Hanabi: She didn't mention something like that to me Mika-san.
Mika: Then what is it that you want from me?
Hanabi: Uh...... How do I put this? Um...... Um...... Um......
Mika: Well what is it?! Don't waste my time if you can't say something good!
Hanabi froze after hearing Mika shout at her. The red haired blue eye girl couldn't say that she wants all the members of Aphrodite to become part of the Idol Research Club. Haruka decides to walk in tell the purpose of Hanabi's sudden visit.
