Chapter 18 - Mikoto and Akame Joins Aphrodite

With Elena and Haruka finally becoming friends. The girls are now enjoying each other's company along with Mikoto and Kushina. Najenda is happy that Elena and Haruka are now getting along with each other pretty well. Meanwhile inside the music room. Akame Jane is now beginning to think of joining Aphrodite. Her school idol persona wants to get out. After watching the video of Aphrodite's first official live. She gets enticed by their performance. And this makes her want to join them.

Another girl also wants to get out of her shell. She's none other than Mikoto Yamato, Haruka's friend. Having watch her friend perform with Muse and Aphrodite. Her inner school idol is wanting to break out. At first she was reluctant. But when she learned that Haruka is an official member of Aphrodite. She couldn't help but think of joining her friend. Her knowledge in playing the guitar and composing her own songs would definitely give Aphrodite an edge.

Over at UTX Academy, Tsubaki is watching the first live of Aphrodite prior to Haruka joining them. She sees that new school idol group can definitely go at par with them. And with the addition of Haruka Kousaka-Kira the rivalry between Otonokizaka High School and UTX Academy gets more interesting. The question now if both school idol groups can surpass the legendary winners of the first two Love Live competitions.

Tsubaki: "Looks like we're now almost even in terms of fan base. But Aphrodite has gotten way ahead of us because of Haruka Kousaka-Kira. And the rivalry between our schools has just heated up once again. Otonokizaka High School definitely has an advantage now. And it's all thanks to Haruka. I have to really work hard to give UTX Academy it's second Love Live trophy. That way I can make myself worthy to be Honoka-san's and Tsubasa-san's daughter in law."

Unknown to her Erisa and Ayame are walking behind her. They decided to give her a little shock by grabbing her shoulders and asking her something.

Erisa and Ayame: (Grabs Tsubaki by the shoulders.) What are you doing?

Tsubaki: Woah! (Falls from her chair straight to the floor.) Ow! My butt. Erisa-chan, Ayame-chan...... Don't startle me like that. (Stands up and pats her butt.)

Erisa: Hihi! Sorry Tsuki-chan. You seem to be serious about something.

Ayame: Can you tell us what is it that made you feel serious all of a sudden.

Tsubaki: I guess I can't lie to both of you. Look at the number of fans we got. And look at the number of fans Aphrodite has.

Erisa: Oh my God! Aphrodite has a huge fan base already.

Ayame: Incredible! They were barely near us when they started.

Tsubaki: Yes I know. But when Haruka joined their numbers increased. And now they're ahead of us by a mile.

Ayame: No doubt about it. Her appearance at the concert and since she joined Aphrodite has definitely boosted their popularity.

Erisa: And to make things interesting she looks exactly like her mother.

Tsubaki: No doubt about it. I will do everything I can to give UTX Academy it's second Love Live championship.

Erisa: It will all depend on our performance and the votes of the online viewers. As well as the score that the judges will give us.

Tsubaki: Do you think that history might repeat itself this time?

Ayame: What do you mean Tsubaki-chan?

Erisa: I know exactly what she means Ayame-chan.

Ayame: What is it Erisa-chan?

Erika: Twenty years ago, Honoka-san overworked herself before their concert on the rooftop of Otonokizaka High School. Because of that she fainted after their first song. Eli-san, who was the student council president at that time told the organizers that Muse will pull out of the competition. Which lead to A-RISE winning the first Love Live competition.

Ayame: I see. (Whacks Tsubaki's head with a paper fan.)

Tsubaki: Ow! What did you do that for? And when did you have a paper fan with you?

Ayame: That's for wishing bad luck to befall upon our rival. And I made this last night.

Erisa could only laugh at the sight of Ayame scolding Tsubaki. Meanwhile, back at Otonokizaka High School. Akame and Mikoto have made up their minds. They decide to go to school's rooftop where Aphrodite is currently practicing. With Yomi Sonoda personally assigning herself as their physical trainer and Hanabi Kobayashi as their choreographer. The two girls watch them from behind the door. Both of them decide to go back downstairs and change into their tracksuits. Haruka, is wearing Honoka's old training clothes. While Hitomi and Yomi are a combination of their parents old training clothes.

Hanabi on the other hand is wearing a pink sando over a black t-shirt. She's wearing a black leotard under a blue colored shorts. As they continue to practice for their next live. Both Akame and Mikoto are now running upstairs towards the rooftop. As soon as they reach the area. Haruka and the others are currently resting. The two girls then go out and while the other four are taking a break from practice. The four members of Aphrodite gives the two a surprised look as they come out of the door.

Hanabi: Mikoto-san, Akame-san, why are you two dressed in your tracksuits?

Haruka: Yeah Miko-chan. Any particular reason why you two are dressed like that?

Mikoto: How do I put this? Hanabi-san, Haruka-chan, I decided to go with what I truly feel inside of me.

Akame: The same goes for me. After I saw your performance with Muse. I couldn't hide the school idol in me anymore. It made me feel inspired to join Aphrodite and be the group's lyricist and composer.

Hanabi: To cut the long story short. You two want to join us and become school idols.

Both: Yes! We both want to join Aphrodite.

Hanabi: Then I wholeheartedly accept the two of you as the new members of Aphrodite. And by the way. There's no seniority in our group.

Both: We understand.

Haruka: I'm so happy for you Miko-chan.

Mikoto: Me too. I can get to perform with you on stage.

Akame: I got a whole notebook of original songs that I wrote. We could use any of them as our contest piece for our next live.

Hanabi: That would be great. We are almost running out of ideas for our next song.

Yomi: Alright! Break time is over. Let's practice and start all over again.

All five: Ehhhhh?!

Hanabi: Awe man! I thought that I can get to eat my ham and cheese sandwich.

The other girls just laughed at what Hanabi said. The Honoka Kousaka super fan is happy that Akame and Mikoto have finally decided to join Aphrodite. Pretty soon four new members will join them. And two of them have experienced what their moms had been through when they were teenagers. Especially a raven haired girl with purple eyes. While the current student council president is hiding the fact that she wants to follow the footsteps of her parents. And Hanabi will experience what Honoka did in their future live.
