Chapter 19 - The School Idol Research Club

(Author's Note: This chapter will somewhat be a little similar to Love Live School Idol Project season 1 episode 5 where Muse attempts to become an official club. But gets shot down after learning that there's a club with Nico Yazawa as it's lone member. It was not mentioned in that episode if the School Idol Research Club was on the verge of being disbanded when Honoka Kousaka and the others joined Nico's club. As I said before this chapter will have a touch of that episode. With all of that said and done. Let's begin chapter nineteen.)

Aphrodite has gained more than the required number of members to become an official club. However there is one problem. The School Idol Research Club that was supposed to be on its second time to be disbanded is still active. And just like Muse when they were active. They will bear the similar situation of what their predecessors had then. Despite the fact that the club has its faculty advisor in the person of Alisa Kousaka. The previous chairwoman ordered it to be disbanded. This is due to the fact that it only has a single member. The number of members required to maintain a club is five.

However just like her mom, Mika Yazawa was only able to muster up with four members. And just like what happened between her mom and her fellow members. Her three members resigned from the club. Their reason, Mika was setting too many high standards. Especially when she put emphasis on the achievements of Muse. If Alisa didn't plea for the club to be given another opportunity to get new members. Mika Yazawa would have been a dropout or she might be forced to transfer to another school. But hope finally springs for the lone member and president of the club.

Aphrodite's leader Hanabi Kobayashi is now in a conversation with new Chairwoman Kotori Minami-Sonoda, and current student council president Elena Ayase. And they're discussing about Aphrodite's application to be recognized as an official school club.

Kotori: So let me get this straight Hanabi-san. You want me to recognize Aphrodite as an official school club.

Hanabi: Yes ma'am. I know it's like shooting for the moon. But, I already have more than the necessary required number of members. So I don't see any reason why we can't be recognized as an official school club.

Elena: Even that were easy to to do. It would still be impossible for the group to be recognized as a club.

Hanabi: But why? I don't see any reason why Aphrodite won't be recognized as an official club.

Kotori: Because when I was a member of Muse. Otonokizaka High School has the Idol Research Club. We decided to join the Idol Research Club since we did the same thing twenty years ago.

Hanabi: You want me to just apply Aphrodite to become members of the school's Idol Research Club?

Elena: I'm afraid so. Let's just say that history repeated itself in your case.

Hanabi: But how do we know that whoever is the current president of that club will accept my group?

Kotori: Because she went through a similar incident like her mother. I'm sure that you know Nico Yazawa.

Hanabi: Of course I know her. Who wouldn't know the woman who keeps stressing herself as the number one idol in the universe.

Kotori: Looks like you did your research about us Hanabi-san.

Hanabi: Of course. Even though that Muse is no longer around. Many people still talk about them.

Elena: Then it's settled. All you have to do is ask Mrs. Kousaka to vouch for you. I'm sure that Mika will be more than willing to accept your application Hanabi-san.

Hanabi: Then I guess I have to look for Alisa-sensei right now. I will take my leave now. Good day madam chairwoman, Elena-san. (Bows and leaves Kotori's office.)

Kotori: That went pretty well.

Elena: I agree madam chairwoman. I'm sure that Mika would be happy to have her and Haruka in her club.

Kotori: I agree Elena-chan. Hanabi does remind me of Honoka-chan.

Elena: I hope that she doesn't invite me to join her group. I have no plans of becoming a school idol.

Kotori: Hihi! You sound like your dad.

Elena: What makes you say that madam chairwoman?

Kotori: Because she didn't want to be a school idol herself when she was your age.

Elena: I guess I went through the same thing she experienced when I was a kid.

Kotori: Then I guess you have to personally tell that to Hanabi-san yourself. Unless you already told it to someone else.

Elena: I already told Najenda about it. Deep inside, there's still a part of me that wants to be in the limelight once again. I just don't know if that opportunity will come again.

Kotori: Who knows Elena-chan? But I have a feeling that you might get back into the limelight before your high school life ends.

As Elena and Kotori continue to discuss about the former's disappointment and frustration. Hanabi is now in front of the School Idol Research Club room. Standing out there nervously, she is about to knock on the door when someone from the inside opened it. At first she thought it would be Mika Yazawa who's going out of the room. But it wasn't whom she's expecting to come out. Instead it is Alisa Kousaka, the English teacher. She gets surprised to see Hanabi standing in front of the room. Hanabi gets lost for words after seeing her sensei standing right before her very eyes

Alisa: Hanabi-san what brings you here?

Hanabi: Alisa-sensei I came here to formally apply Aphrodite as members of the School Idol Research Club.

Alisa: I see that you have taken my suggestion into consideration.

Hanabi: Well technically yes. But at first I want to make Aphrodite as an official school club. But Chairwoman Minami-Sonoda suggested that we join the School Idol Research Club instead.

Alisa: I'm glad to hear that. Since you're already here. Let me vouch for your group. I'm pretty sure that Mika-san might want to accept you as members. Let's go inside. Shall we?

Hanabi: Of course sensei.

As teacher and student enter the room. Haruka is currently on the rooftop of Otonokizaka High School. Grasping the pendant on her neck. She looks up at the clouds passing by. Flashing a radiant smile on her face. She's now very happy to accept that the school idol in her has come out. Had she kept on suppressing it. She wouldn't be happy with her life. She's no longer afraid of saying that she is glad to follow in the footsteps of her parents. Both of whom were former rival school idols that fell in love with each other. And they're blessed with a beautiful child in Haruka.
