Love Live School Idol Project: The Next Generation

Chapter 14 - A New Rivalry Begins

(Author's Note: Don't expect to see any character dialogue in this chapter. For the time being I will focus on the story first.)

The day of the promotional concert of Love Live's comeback after a ten year hiatus has arrived. Fans and new generation school idols are lining up at the concert venue. Previous winners of the competition are now inside the venue itself. All them are thrown into a feeling of nostalgia. Especially to A-RISE and Muse, the first two winners of Love Live. The other winners of the contest are still huge fans of the two most popular school idol groups.

Aquors and Saint Snow still couldn't believe that they will be performing on the same stage with their idols. Feathers are still in awe about performing with the group that saved Otonokizaka High School. As the crowd grows bigger in the venue. An air of nervousness surrounds Muse in their dressing room.

Haruka senses the nervousness of her mom's friends. She understands this completely. It's been twenty years since they have disbanded. And now twenty years later they have banded together again to perform on the very stage where they made their final performance. She quickly steps up to the plate and breathes in slowly. She then exhales loud enough for the women of Muse to hear. And then she tells them to make the same formation that they did on the rooftop.

All nine of them are now in a circle. Their fingers touching each other. The nine pointed star is once again formed. And this time it's Haruka's turn to boost the confidence of her mentors.

Haruka: I may not be like my mom when it comes to leadership. But I can feel that you are all nervous in performing again. But like what my mom said to all of you remember why are you singing and who you are singing for. Show us the new generation school idols what Muse is all about.

Ich!

Nii!!

San!!!

Yon!!!!

Go!!!!!

Roku!!!!!!

Nana!!!!!!!

Hachi!!!!!!!!

Kyuu!!!!!!!!!

Muse!!!!! Music start!!!!!

(Author's Note: This is the only part that I made a character speak. But like I said earlier, the succeeding parts of the story won't have any dialogue.)

Minutes later the concert starts. Saint Snow is the first to perform. The crowd cheers but still it wasn't enough. They performed their hits like, Believe Again, Crash Mind, Dropout, and Self Control.

After them it is Aquors turn to perform. They too sang their hits like Happy Party Train, Mikaiten Horizon, Aquarium, and Mirai Ticket. The crowd cheers for them but still it's not enough.

Third to perform is the tandem of Yukiho Kousaka and Alisa Ayase. They too couldn't get the crowd to cheer loud enough. But they didn't waiver. Instead they continue singing to their hearts delight.

And then the moment the crowd has been waiting for. The first winner of the Love Live competition A-RISE. Despite the fact that they have two songs to sing. The crowd cheers loud enough as both Anju and Erena can still sing and dance. A bonus was their daughter Erisa. She's wearing the same costume that Tsubasa Kira wore when she was alive.

They performed Private Wars and Shocking Party. After that there is silence in the air. And then a familiar battle cry resonates.

Muse!!!!! Music start!!!!!!!

The crowd goes wild as the last to perform is the second winner of the Love Live competition Muse.

They started off with Susume Tomorrow, followed by Start Dash. And then Yume No Tobira, Dancing Stars on Me, Snow Halation. They followed it up with Wonderful Rush and Kira Kira Sensation. And just like when they won Love Live. The crowd yells for an encore. Muse gamely obliged and did Oh Love and Peace plus the song that brought them to full stardom Angelic Angel.

The concert was a huge success. Gate attendance was off the scale. The performance of the five previous winners was hot topic. However the hottest topic was Haruka Kousaka-Kira performing with Muse. Hanabi, Yomi, and Hitomi became inspired to perform in their first live. She now plans to recruit Haruka in the hopes of making a part of her group.

Meanwhile over at UTX Academy, Tsubaki is elated to see Haruka become a school idol. After personally seeing her perform with Muse. She now has set her sights on giving UTX Academy a second Love Live trophy. And together with Erisa and Ayame they are now more determined to make it happen.

The tensions have become higher as the rivalry between UTX Academy and Otonokizaka High School has started again. There are no comparisons to A-RISE and Muse. This time it's a legit battle of the goddesses. UTX Academy's Venus vs Otonokizaka High School's Aphrodite. As both school idol groups make the necessary preparations for their first lives. The new set of school idol fans are happy to see Love Live happen again.

A week after the concert marks the official start of the Love Live competition. Falling on the exact day it was launched twenty years ago. The opening day salvo is started by Venus. Singing their debut single Eyes of the Goddess. Their song reaches 4,000 views. One fourth of A-RISE's Private Wars. But it was enough to make them land in the top 50. Earning a ranking of number 41.

Then it's Aphrodite's turn to debut. Singing their debut single Destiny Becons. The song equals the number of views Muse's debut single Start Dash. They too made it to the top 50. They earned the rank of number 42. With both Venus and Aphrodite making it to the top 50. A new school idol group from Numazu is pressured to make it to the top 50. However they will only play second fiddle to the rivalry between Venus and Aphrodite.

And some fans has already stated that a new rivalry has begun. And the entire school idol world will be waiting for the debut on the idol stage. The daughter of Honoka Kousaka and Tsubasa Kira, Haruka Kousaka-Kira.
