---Dracos POV----

I loved being around her and there was no doubt that I did. She took my breath away. The way her beautiful light brown hair fell over her shoulder, the way she bit the inside of her cheek when she was nervous, and lastly, the way she made me feel.

I hated her

I hated her because I wanted her. I could have any girl that I pleased but I picked her and I didn't know why. I wanted her. I needed her. I would do anything to protect her, I was her protector and I wouldn't let anyone hurt her.

----Back to potions Amaras POV----

I didn't utter a word to him and he didn't utter a word to me. I was a very awkward person and after what happened yesterday I didn't know how to start a conversation. Snape's speech was the most annoying thing. I was too busy coloring the corners of my paper and I heard Draco snicker.

"What are you laughing at?' I said as I furrowed my brows

He shook his head left from right and he tried hard to not smirk but he obviously failed

"Class is dismissed" I heard professor Snape say and I got up and made my way to the Astronomy tower since I didn't have class next period.

"Hey Amara" I heard Tate say

"Hey, Tate," I said back with a faint smile.

"Come with me" he took out his hand for me to hold it and so I did. We walked to the common room and sat on the couch.

"I wanna know more about you Amara"

No one really asked me that I usually just told them because I assumed no one cared enough to ask

"Well erm I love green apples and they're better than red apples, I love the color emerald green and light blue, I'm awkward, I like cats, I hate people who chew loudly, and I'm funny I like to assume"

"So what are you whoring around with Langdon now" I turned my head to met eyes with Malfoy. We weren't dating I could do whatever I want.

"Fuck off Malfoy" I groaned as I slouched on the couch

"Langdon leaves"

"This is a publi-"

"I said leave," he said through gritted teeth. Tate gave me a worried look and I gave him a nod reassuring him it was okay for him to leave.

"Listen Draco," I got up from the couch making my way towards him "stop being a dick to fucking Tate okay. I can do whatever the fuck I want so just fuck off" I turned around to walk away

"Whore" he said

I stopped in my tracks and I turned around to face him and walked up to him our noses almost touching

"I really fucking hate you Draco Malfoy," I said whispering tears brimming from my eyes. There was something in his eyes that I couldn't quite make out and before I could make it out what it was it was no longer there

"oh, yeah? Do you really?" He placed his cold hand on my cheek and rubbed his thumb caressing it.

He got even closer to my face and whispered close to my ear and his hand was no longer on my cheek caressing it. It was on my waist as he put his hands under my shirt

"...because if you did, you wouldn't have asked me to fuck you.."

My breath hitched

"..you dirty little whore"

I didn't say anything. I stood there. Shocked.

Before I could respond he crashed his lips onto mine and I melted under his touch. He stopped the kiss and whispered again

"You have no idea the things I want to do to you, Amara Rivers"

And then he left. Once again, I didn't move, I stood there shocked by what just happened.
