Lady Misfortune takes a slow view of the ball and all its people there. Everyone was dressed in their finest silks and fabrics to show off their money and looks. Her hand was clutched around her golden cased fan. Her eyes scanned around, in hopes for her feline partner to appear.

"Hey, Bugaboo. Glad you made it." Chat Noir jumped in, leaning down to her hand and kissing the back of it.

"Of course I would." She responds with a smile.

"How did you make your costume into a gown like that?" The feline hero asks, looking at her flowing dress.

"Oh, I just added a long skirt over my costume to make it look nicer." Lady Misfortune stammers.

"Well, it looks great, M'Lady." He responds with a smile.

"Would you like to dance?" He asks with a bow, motioning a hand to the center of the palace where people danced with one another in synchronized harmony.

"That would be nice." She says shyly, putting her hand into his and allowing him to guide her down the steps.

Other guests stopped to stare at the heroes step down and onto the floor, whispering words to one another about them. Anything, it didn't even need to be relevant but it was still brought up.

Chat Noir bows to her while she curtsies and they allowed their hands to meet. One of Chat's went around her waist while Lady Misfortune's went on his arm. Their eyes interlocked as they swayed gracefully to the music.

"You're not that bad." Chat Noir whispers, chuckling as he guided them both around.

"I guess I've just been practicing more before this." Lady Misfortune smiles.

The two glided across the pristine white marble floors, their motions and movement was in complete synchronization. Lady Misfortune's dress swept against the ground as they flew across the grounds. Eventually, the other guests accepted the fact that their heroes were at this party and went onto the floors and began their dances.

Half an hour had passed when they had stopped and went to find something to eat. Lady Misfortune was still biding her time to kill him, but it cannot be in front of the whole kingdom itself.

They sat and ate small pastries as they told stories and jokes about their lives, finally opening up a bit more.

"Any siblings?" Lady Misfortune asked, trying to keep up the conversation.

"Not really, it's just me and my father." Chat shrugs, swirling the glass cup slowly.

"It must be nice to have all the attention, yes?" She responds.

"I never really got much attention from him, he's always been busy so I was basically by myself besides a really close friend." He smiles sadly.

A feeling of guilt, something she thought she would've never felt, had entered her heart with a crash. Her whole world slowly began to open for a moment. This was the same boy who fought by her side daily as she flew through the streets of Parisia. The charming and witty Chat Noir, who also threw a bright spin on everything happening.

"But enough about that depressing piece. How about you? Who are you, Ladybug, behind the mask?" Chat Noir asks with a more happier smile.

"Well..." Lady Misfortune hums, trying to come up with something that wouldn't throw her out into the open.

"I don't know. Come up with something you would like to know about me." She responds.

"Alright then. Let's play 10 Questions." Chat says with a grin.

"Okay, okay. Go first." She replies, eyeing him closely as he thought deeply.

"What's your favorite thing about me?" Chat asks with curiosity.

"Well, there's your extremely courageous and brave side. And I'll admit, sometimes your jokes and puns are funny and lighten up the mood well." She responds, poking her thin fork at the strawberry cake.

"That's something I never thought I'd hear." Chat says with a chuckle, straightening his posture in the seat.

"Well, don't worry. It'll be the last time you hear it from me." She replies, crossing her arms.

"What's your question?" Chat asks.

"Alright, well.. what's your favorite thing about me?" She asks with interest sparkling in her eyes.

"That's easy." He smirks, putting down the glass goblet.

"You're smart, hard-working, fun, amazing, beautiful, snarky, and the list just goes on and on." He smiles sweetly.

Lady Misfortune's cheeks were blushing furiously red as the words finally registered in her head. Besides possibly her mother and best friend, Alya, nobody has ever said those words to her. The words kept repeating and swimming in her mind, creating a web of emotions that she sworn she locked during this little party crash.

Her grip on the silver fork slipped for a slight moment before she caught her grip and sat straighter.

"That was a surprise." She responds, pushing the emotions down before she glances to her feline partner.

"Glad I could shake you a bit." Chat gives a cheeky grin.

Lady Misfortune rolls her eyes as she puts the fork down for a moment.

"Did my words make you swoon, M'Lady?" The feline hero cooes, looking at her with a seductive look.

"Like you could possibly do that!" She huffs, crossing her arms and tilting her head to the side to avoid allowing him to see her tomato red cheeks.

"You can keep trying to convince me." He chuckles, smirking at her.

Lady Misfortune glares at him with a huff and he looks to her with a raised eyebrow, not even stirred.

"Don't forget you job, Lady Misfortune. If you don't complete it, you will lose your powers and never have Adrien." HawkMoth threatens.

A jolt of electric flies through her, sending a shock down her spine.

"Are you alright?" Chat asked, raising an eyebrow in concern.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine." She waves it off, bringing her gaze to her partner again.

"Do you want to head outside?" Lady Misfortune suggests.

"I see we're moving fast." He smirks, standing up and extending his hand to her.

She hesitates for a moment before placing her hand on his gloved palm. Chat pulls her up and leads the way to the gardens out in the back.

Lady Misfortune slipped her hand onto her side, pressing against her gown to feel the sheath of the dagger that was attached snugly on her calf.
