I hurdled my desk and landed on top of him with my hands around his throat.
"Where is she!" I screamed in his faces and slammed his head on the ground.
He just smiled at me.
I threw a punch at his head and stood him up to his knees.
"Where. Is. SHE!" I yelled in between the different times I slammed his head onto my desk.
His head was now bleeding profusely all over the place with that stupid grin still lurking on his hideous face. I slammed his head down again.
"What are you going to do. Burn me alive?" He smirked at me with a blooming grin.
"Worse." I said to him before dragging him to the basement of my building making sure to bounce his head off of any corner, door frame, and railing.
I threw him in a room and locked chains around his arms, legs, and neck. I lit a ring of fire to trap him in that chair with the glare of my eyes.
I looked at him, eyes fuming ready to burn this sorry of an excuse of a human.
"What did you do to her," I growled staring at him straight in the eyes.
"One never tells," he smirked and had the audacity to wink at me.
I lit the chain around him left leg on fire. His screams sounding throughout the halls.
"Tell me!" My body filled more in raged than it already was. I ceased the fire around the chain and revealed burnt flesh.
"What's the point eh? You'll find her." He squinted his eyes and groaned in agony.
I lost it.
I lit the room on fire and left. His ear piercing screams where quieted with the heavy sound proof door.
I clawed at my scalp and I punched the wall across from the room.
"God damn it!" I was frustrated. I just wanted to find my baby before her birthday. She won't know what is happening.
I ran threw the halls and flights of stairs to the roof top.
I had one of the tallest office buildings in Seattle. I walked to the edge and looked at the city, hoping to find my girl. But I didn't.
I lended on the the barrier that surrounded people from falling off of the rooftop.
"Where are you Ella?" I said sadly and a tear ran down my face.
I was beautiful seeing all of the city lights all bright and alive at night. Hotels, restaurants, businesses, and other buildings still glowing with lights illuminating from their hundreds of windows and signs inviting regular otero curious customers in.
The sky was full of stars and constellations. Ella and I would look at the different planets through a telescope every night. It was fantasizing seeing the cloudiness of Venus and the large craters scattered over the moon. Our favorite was Neptune. It's cool blue exterior reminded us of our own eyes.
We'd look at the sky for hours until it become too cold to stand. Then we'd race to the house and make a cup of hot chocolate and watch recorded episodes of Spongebob or The Office.
But that is all gone now. That connection will never be the same after Sarah's death.
I looked at my feet now. Ready to jump and cut the air with my silver wings. So that's what I did.
My human form turned into a silver scaled sixty foot dragon. My wing stretched across the roof and my enormous head looking up at the sky with my four feet planted on the roof top. I tucked my wings, wiggled my tail, and jumped high into the night sky.
My eyes frantically searching the ground, hoping to see a sign of Ella anywhere.
Instead I saw humans scattered throughout the streets. Teenagers in large groups, couples either alone or with others, and the stragglers who preferred to be left alone.
There were beggars with signs and musicians just jigging along to what tone attracted the larger crowd. Dog walkers for some reason out this late at night, probably looking to get lucky, or kidnap a kid.
I don't know what their doing anything can happen these days.
Flying calmed me. The ease of gliding through the winds and clouds always comforted me. It also made me feel empowered because not a lot of people on earth get to say they can fly. A human with wings would be kinda weird anyway.
I can't wait to teach Ella all of the tricks to being a dragon. She may not be a dragon though, she has the chance of being something greater, something more powerful and terrifying because of her biological mother, Tessa.
Tessa was also killed, but not because of me. It was because of what she was.
She was majestic, thoughtful, caring, everything you can think of a wonderful perfect women could be. She showed no sign of anger or evilness for all the time I had the privilege of knowing and being with her.
Tears began running down my face just at the thought of Tessa. She was everything I could have asked for in a partner.
I started back to my roof top. It was time to search through Nick's stuff to see if he left any evidence where Ella could be.
When I returned I saw Daniel waiting for me. I quickly turned back to human form abs found a not-so-surprised face from him.
"Are you..not freaked out right now?" I asked him while walking closer to him.
"No. My parents and my self are just like you, just a different type. Our scales are black and purple, my mother being the purple." We were a couple feet away from each other now. He looked confident, but worried.
"What is the matter?" I asked tilting my head slightly.
"Well. I found where Ellarie is."
