It's finally Monday, all I did this past weekend was continue to paint, read, and finish homework.

My little birdy has seven more days left until he can go back home. He's the only friend I have, and I just don't want to let him go just yet.

Maybe I should adapt a puppy once he is all better? But for now I have to go to school.

It was another typical week. Avoiding everyone in the morning, focusing on the lectures given, sit alone outside reading while being stared at by Daniel again, going to the Library or the coffee shop after school, then caring for my little birdy.

Friday was different, the school was preparing for homecoming, the walls were being filled with decorations and rumors began debating which classes float was the best.

I went to the library that evening, which is typical, but I wasn't the only student there this time. Daniel Cane and his best friend Kade Wolk were there. Assuming by their text books they were studying Stats.

I placed my bag next to my usual chair and made my way to the shelves. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, just a book that caught my eye.

While reading the description and part of the first chapter of a book, someone ran straight into me, which knocked me to the floor with a loud thud.

"Shoot, sorry I wasn't paying attention where I was going."

I looked up to see Daniel on top of me, staring down at me. This guy I swear, how could he not see me? And what was he doing running through the selves anyway?

"Um, can you please get off of me?" His hand were placed on either side of my head and our legs were tangled together.

I guess he didn't realize the position we were in until then as his eyes bulged out of his head.

"Gosh dang it, uh, I'm sorry."

He got up in a rush then put his hand out to help me up.

He stood there looking at me for a second. Here we go with the staring again. Am I that ugly, like seriously, I know I'm not attractive but you don't have to stare at me like that.

"Would you like to get coffee with me tomorrow," he said super fast and barely audible. I looked at him in shock. What!? I was questioning if I heard him correctly.

"Did you just as me to get coffee with you tomorrow?" I was so flustered. He's acting nervous. Why is he acting nervous? I bet this was a dare or something stupid.
