The ride there was long and the whole time I was thinking about my grandpa’s face as he learned about my kidnapping, from one of the many people who saw me taken away.

I cried, I couldn’t stop them, they just cam unwillingly to my eyes. Through I cried no one could hear me, Beth couldn’t make a sound now in the time that she wanted to scream.

Why me? Why me? Why me? Why me? Why me? Why me? Why me? What did she want with me, that she would take me away everything I have ever know? I have never offended the kingdom in any way, so why was captured.

After what seem forever the carriage stopped, I had fallen asleep by now, finally, the tears dried to my face.

Beth wondered what would await her now, she still couldn’t see anything, I can’t imagine the reason I’m still covered up.

A pair of hand land on my shoulder ruffly and dragged me out, and I stumbled to the ground as he shoved me.

They laugh and I burn with embarrassment, I regain the feeling back in my legs from the long trip sitting on them. Beth tries to get up but it’s no use she couldn’t do it without her arms.

“Someone get this girl to her feet and bring her to her quarters.” I can hear the laugh behind her voice, she loves it that she can push me around without having to get her hands dirty.

“Yes, ma’am.” It’s him, the man who tried to save me in the forest back home. His hand wrap around my arm yet again and he guides me up a path away from every one.

His boots stepping on the pebbles below us was the only sound he made. I still couldn’t see anything which rubbed me the wrong way.

Beth couldn’t live her life in the dark without be able to see anything.

“I’m sorry.” It was a whisper of sorrow from him, I hung my head, I still couldn’t wrap my head around the reason that he was so sorry for me.

Someone he hasn’t even truly seen. He didn’t even know my name.

“Why?” The bag lifted off my head as we stopped. My eyes took in every thing at once with this new freedom.

Gray brick walls reaching high into the air, from what I could tell this wall surround the town and the huge castle I was standing next to. There were shops lined up next to each other all different sizes and shapes displaying different items.

I couldn’t tell from which way we came but I couldn’t see the princess or her guards, they were most likely in the castle by now. There was soft grass under my feet in a small court yard in front of the castle.

“So what now?” I asked not looking at him, I didn’t want to see his sadness and sorrow in his eyes. It would have been to much.

“Now I will bring you to your room, it will be in the West wing, were all the guest stay.”
