Chapter 1 : The new kid

Daniel's POV:

*car door slams*

"This is the end of the line," my ma said with a bright smile on her face. I looked outside the window for a second "You're telling me," I exclaimed annoyed. I got out of the car and reached on the top of my ma's car for my bike, as I was struggling to get it down my ma stated "Look at those palm trees dam! Do you know what that means?" Excitingly. "Watch out for falling coconuts," I said sarcastically, my ma hit my back "No more Newark of winters!". I finally got my bike down and started walking to the apartments, I karate kicked the door open.

I walked to door 21 looking downwards, I wasn't very excited to move here however, it was my only option since my ma got a job. Suddenly, I bumped into someone.

Your POV:

I was walking to my apartment when I suddenly bumped into a boy, I had never seen him before. "Oh dam, I'm sorry, here let me help you up." He said with empathy, he glanced down at me with his hazel brown eyes and fluffy brunette hair. "Oh it's okay, don't worry about it, you must be the new neighbors in 21?", I said reassuringly. "Yeah, we are, I'm Daniel.", he said with a smile on his perfectly framed face. I replied with "I'm y/n, it's a pleasure to meet you!" "The pleasure is all mine," he replied.

"Anyways, Daniel there's a party tonight to celebrate returning to school, want to come?"

He laughed a bit and said "Not the type of thing I'd celebrate but I'm in." we both giggled a bit then bid our goodbyes.

Daniels POV:

"So who's the girl you were talking to?" My ma said grinning. "She's just our neighbor ma! Oh, and she invited me to a party tonight."

I smiled at her, I felt my face go red. "Sounds fun! A nice way to make a few friends."
