The beginning of this chapter is a jump back six months to where Eiji had just gotten back to America. It's basically a flashback of what Blade is telling Ash. Remember when Ash asked about the beginning of The Jade Riders? Yeah, this is the start of that. Don't be confused. Enjoy!
"Well, it started like this..."
A well built man with long dark hair in a low ponytail and yellow eyes meandered down a dark alleyway. Recently, he decided he wanted no part of the gang he used to be affiliated with, so he left. No note, no heads up, he just up and left. He admits, he liked it at first. The thrill of gang fights and turf wars got his blood pumping; he lived for that feeling. But after a while, things within the gang turned nasty. Members were getting more and more violent, going as far as to killing innocents who were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. He didn't kill, especially not innocents. He knew if he told anyone, they would kill him before he took a step out the back door. So, he kept quiet and waited.
Now, he's on the street; no food, no money, no place to go. Its been a few weeks since he left the gang and so far he's been approached by several low tier criminals and wanna be gangsters looking for a guy with some muscle. And with every criminal and every refusal on his part, came a brawl that he usually had no issue fighting his way out of.
Now though, things were about to get a little more complicated for this man. Looking back, this was the moment everything changed.

Eiji's POV
"How did I get into this mess?" Eiji thought.
It had been a few weeks since Eiji had come back to America and begun to enact his plan to be reunited with Ash. He had recently been traveling around to banks to check on the accounts that he knew Ash had set up, and was amazed to find several million dollars scattered throughout the accounts. This would be enough to set up several buildings and small businesses for the gang he was planning to put together, and from there they would only add to that money. Eiji may be naive, but he isn't stupid. He knows what he is planning will take time and money, and he can't just depend on Ash's leftovers forever. No, he had to build up a gang with power, money, and influence, so he could find Ash and provide for him.
So why, oh why, did he have to get himself into a situation like this?
What is the situation you ask? Oh, well, nothing too special...
He's just one of the unfortunate souls who are currently being HELD HOSTAGE by the freaking ITALIAN MAFIA!!!
What did he do to deserve this again?
He was just walking out of one of the banks he had visited when he was nabbed by some burly Italian looking men with eyebrows the size of caterpillars. He was dragged to their base where they threw him in a small room with no windows and only one other person. After the door was shut and locked, Eiji took a closer look at the only other person in the room with him. This person was fairly tall, about a full head above Eiji, with dark hair and shining yellow eyes that seemed to glow in the dark room. He was well built, and wore a thin skin tight spandex shirt, jeans with holes and a jacket tied around his waist. Eiji realized he had been staring when the mystery man turned to look at him with a narrowed gaze. He was ready to say something when the mystery man beat him to it.
"What the hell are you looking at shrimpy?"
