This chapter is starting right where the last one left off. Hope you all enjoy!

Ash's POV

Blade folded his hands together and sigh.

"So, that's how I met Eiji,"he said to me.

I kept my face blank, but on the inside I was having an inner turmoil. Eiji did all this, created a biker gang and took up arms as their leader, all to find me? A warm feeling bubbled up inside me without my consent. But at the same time, while I wasn't around, Eiji was in danger. What's worse, I wasn't there to help him. I know there wasn't anything I could've done, but I still find myself wishing I was the one there to protect Eiji.

I was frustrated. Instead of being there to protect Eiji when he came back to New York, he ended up being the one to have to save me. Now, that's not to say I'm ashamed at having Eiji be the one to save me, I don't mind at all. I'm actually glad it was him; I've always known Eiji was caring, I guess I shouldn't be surprised he travelled across the world to save me.

The problem is, I promised myself I would protect him. I promised myself I would never forgive anyone who should harm him. Yet, where was I when Eiji was in danger? I wasn't there when he needed me. He put himself in danger, to find me.

I clench my hands over top of my knees and squeeze my eyes shut.

I'm frustrated.

I'm so, SO frustrated.

...

...

...

With myself.

I open my eyes and stand up with determination.

"When Eiji came back here, I wasn't there for him." I say quietyly.

"But," I meet Blade's eyes, "I'm here now, and I won't leave Eiji alone ever again. I will be there for him, now and forever. I will protect him."

When I'm done speaking, Blade stands up, and I realize for the first time how he towers over me, just like how he dwarfs Eiji. He looks at me for a moment, as if sizing me up, but then surprises me by smiling.

"I believe you." He says.

I smile back. Blade then leans forward slightly, and places a hand on my shoulder.

"Eiji may have gotten stronger, but while that is so, and he won't admit it, he is still small and fragile. He needs someone to be there for him to watch his back. This gang, we've been doing that ever since the beginning of The Jade Riders. We stand with him, protect him, and give him the support he needs. I know you will do your utmost to do the same."

Blade says all this with a serious look, but after a moment his facial features soften into a sincere smile, and he continues.

"But Eiji doesn't just need support from you, you know. All this time, he has been looking, not just for the friend he left behind, but also the person he fell in love with."

My eyes widened. What did he just say? Did...did that mean that...Eiji...?

Blade nodded, soft smile still in place.

"He loves you, Ash. He's loved you for a while now."

My eyes got impossibly larger, and my hands started to tremble. Eiji...he really...loves me?!

My heart swelled to the point I teared up. I gave Blade a large smile,

"thank you, Blade, for telling me. I'm going to go talk to Eiji now."

As I turn and rush out of the room I hear Blade encouragingly wish me luck. As I continued running I knew I wouldn't need it.

I made my way through the hideout, once in a while stopping briefly to ask for directions.

After what felt like forever I finally reached a large grand oak door with the two body guards from earlier posted outside. Curt and Rick if I remembered correctly. I would have to ask Blade later how Eiji came to find these two tanks.

Slightly out of breath, I spoke up.

"I'm here to see Eiji. Please."

The two burly men looked at me, before one spoke up.

"You're good to go in, Blade radioed that you would be coming," the guy with the black hair and blue eyes said.

I nodded as they both stepped aside and opened the heavy doors for me. I quickly thanked them and slipped in as they shut the doors behind me.

The room I was currently in was quite large, with a bookshelf and desk along one wall, a large balcony on the other, and a plush red sofa with a coffee table in the middle of the room. To the left of me was a door that I could only assume led into a bathroom. I continued to look around until I finally spotted what I had been looking for.

To the right of the bookshelf was a large alcove in the room, and inside that lay a large king bed with a sky blue comforter with white clouds and a yellow pillow case. However, I was more focused on the person laying on the bed.

Sleeping soundly under the covers, laying on his left side with his knees to his chest and fists loosely curled by his lips, was Eiji. His hair was curled and fluffy, and his head was barely peeking over the large, heavy blankets. Ash couldn't help but stop and stare for a moment, appreciating the adorable sight. Though some things change over time, some things obviously remain the same. Eiji still looks soft and innocent when he sleeps.

After a moment, I decided I didn't have the heart to wake Eiji up when he was sleeping so peacefully. So, I walked over and kneeled down beside his bed, leaning my head on my folded arms as I watched Eiji sleep.

I don't know how long I sat there watching him, but after a while, I could feel myself beginning to drift off. Before I completely passed out, I reached my hand out and intertwined my fingers with Eiji's. I remembered what Blade told me earlier, and offered the sleeping beauty a gentle smile.

"I love you Eiji, sleep well." I said, before I drifted off.

Already asleep, I didn't see hazel eyes open slightly to stare softly down at me.

"I love you too...Ash."

Hey everyone! So, that's the end of this chapter. And YEAH! Eiji was awake the whooooolllee time;)lol, he's actually really good at faking sleep isn't he? He did it in the anime a few times too I think. Anyway, there will be a few more flashbacks in the future about the startup of Eiji's gang, but nothing to complicated. If any of you have any idea's for future adventures of Ash and Eiji, I would be open to hearing them. I do have a general game plan for future chapters, but if there are any suggestions I will see what I can do to work some of your idea's in. I am also open to comments and constructive criticism! Thanks for reading! See yall soon!
