Chapter 15- The Kittens

Lily's POV

It was only 11:00 by the time I got my make up on. I decided to put a pair of sweatpants and a big T-shirt on until I was going to get ready. I walked downstairs, I forgot it was Friday. Hannah was at school and mom was at work which just leaves me.

I walked over to the couch and llaydown. I put on Netflix and watched Pretty Little Liars instead of The Walking Dead, that way I wouldn't have to see Chandler. I was at the part where they found Ali's body when someone knocked on the door. I opened it to see-- a box of kittens?

Who would leave them on my doorstep? I start to think. Well, I don't know anyone who had kittens. But oh well. I'll keep them! There were 4. A black and white one, a calico one, a white one, and a black one. I gave the black and white one the name "Mittens", the black one, "Shadow", the calico one, "Taco" and the white one "Muffin".

I played with them for an hour before making them a new box. I found a big, wooden basket and put blankets in it. Then I found an empty cardboard box and cut a hole in the side and filled it with newspaper. That should work for now. I placed them in my living room and walked upstairs.

I checked my phone. It was 1:43. I had about 4 hours before I had to get ready, so I went to sleep.

*3 hours later*

I woke up to a little ball of fur on my face. "Mom. Get your glove off of my face!" I yell. I pick it up. "Meow." Is what I heard. I forgot about the kittens! They must be hungry! I thought to myself.

I walked downstairs and got 4 little bowls. I filled them with milk and put them on the floor. It was so cute seeing the little kittens run to the milk bowls. I left them there to drink, and went back upstairs.

I checked my phone. It was 5:00. I had 3 hours to get ready. I went otomy phone to see I had a new Facebook message. I opened it.

"Almost time;) Can't wait to see you." - Josh

Tonight was going to be great. I looked at my dress one more time, just to make sure it was okay. It was perfect for tonight! I got my makeup out and my hair curler. I put it all on my dresser. I checked the time one more time. 5:07. That was plenty of time.

I got my hair spray out and my nail polish. I did blue and silver crackled nails. They were perfect. I did my toe nails too, the same way. I looked at the time. It took me 20 minutes just to paint my nails! Now I just have to let them dry. I look around my room for about 5 minutes before poking my nails. They were dry, luckily!

Next I turned my hair curler on. I put it on high, so it would do it faster. "Hmm.. Should I wear a necklace?" I ask myself out loud. I grab my diamond heart necklace and put it on. It looks perfect! I curled my hair and put hair spray in it.

I looked in the mirror. I loved it. I grabbed my silver, glittery mascara and put it on. I also put my blush and lipstick on. Last was my eye shadow. I put on some light blue eye shadow. I was done! All I had to do now was put my dress, and high heels on.

I walked over to the mirror. Tonight would be perfect. I slipped my dress on and walked over to my bed. I sat down and put my high heels on.

Josh's POV

It was already 7:45. I had to get driving. I got in my car and started driving to Lily's house. It was about 10 minutes away. I called Hannah. "I'm on my way." I say into the phone, then I hang up. I got out of the car and walked to Lily's doorstep. I knocked on the door.

Lily walked out looking stunning. "Hi Lily." I say quietly. "Hi Josh." She says back. "You look gorgeous." I say. Did I just say that out loud? "Thanks. You too." She says back. I opened the car door and we started driving to the movie theater.

Chandler's POV

It was 8:00. I was standing at the movie theater waiting for Josh and Lily to arrive. I checked my phone. I was getting a call from Hannah. I answered it. "You better be there! They're going to be there any minute!" She yells just as they pull up. "They're here. Bye. Thank you so much." I say as I hang up.
