Chapter 3- Getting Out

Chandler's POV

Seeing Norman fall to the ground was depressing, so I had an idea. I pulled out my phone and pulled up about 50 pictures of Norman and Mingus. I showed Mingus them. He looked at me.

Then suddenly you were able to see a bright spark in his eye. He got a big smile on his face. "Dad?!" He yells. Norman comes running in. "I love you so much Mingus!" He says as he hugs him. "Do you remember what happened Mingus?" He asks. "A little-- I was walking around the park, because I couldn't sleep. And when I went to walk back, a girl started to talk to me. Then all I remember is that girl pushing me into the streets, another girl screaming "Maggie! Why did you push him?!", and really bright lights.." He says.

I realized something from that. The only Maggie that lived in town is-- Maggie Machicka. Mingus's ex-girlfriend. "Hey, Mingus... Did you see her face at all?" I ask. "No.. I think that's why she pushed me. I was trying to see if I knew her.." He says. "Mingus... That girl was Maggie Machicka!" I say.

Just then Norman interrupted. "How do you know?" He asks me. "Well, first of all she's the only Maggie in town. And second, she posted a status on Twitter at 2:47 am saying 'I feel bad now, but you deserved it #exissues'." I say to him. They both stare at me with their mouths open.

A doctor opens the door and walks in. "Hello, Mingus, Norman, and Chandler. You can leave today, Mingus. But, that will be after the police question you." He says. As he walks out he starts talking. I guess it was to the police. "Hello, I'm officer Lasier. I need to question all three of you. Mingus, I will question you first. Chandler and Norman, can yous please leave the room for a few minutes?" He asks. Me and Norman walk out.

A few minutes later, Officer Lasier walked out. "Chandler? Follow me please." He says. I start walking with him. He leads me into a small room.

"Chandler, you're Mingus's bestfriend? "

"Yes."

"Do you know of anyone who would want to hurt Mingus?"

"Actually, yes. His ex-girlfriend, Maggie Machicka. She and him broke up about 2 1/2 months ago. He says that he heard someone yell "Maggie! Why'd you push him?!". She is the only Maggie in town. Also, she tweeted something about 20 minutes after the incident. She tweeted 'I feel bad now, but you deserved it #exissues'.

"Okay. Thank you very much for your time, and cooperation."

After that ge opened the door and I followed him. He calls Norman to the same room. I walked into Mingus's room. It was akwardly silent until Norman came in.

"Well, Maggie's going to court for it in 2 days. And Mingus, we're getting out of here!" He says.

We both left the room and went to sign Mingus out while he was getting changed. After we were done, Mingus walked out.

"Come on, Mingus! We're going to get your memory back!" Norman yells. He had a plan to take Mingus to the places that were important to Mingus and his memories, hoping his memories would come back.
