"I'm glad your back!" Izzy ran up to me and engulfed me in a bone-crushing hug. It had been 2 weeks since I had gotten in the hospital wing.

"I can tell!" I giggled. Blaise and Asher stood behind her. I hugged both of them before plopping on the leather couch.

"Uh, that was my seat," Asher raised an eyebrow.

"It's mine now," I said, chin up.

Blaise smirked behind me.

"Stop bickering," Izzy groaned.

"We are not bickering," I snapped.

"Yea, you are,"

"Am not,"

"Are too,"

"Am not!"

"Are too!"

"Am not!"

"Stop fighting!!!" Blaise yelled.

"I want to get out of here," I complained.  "Blaise, can we go for a walk?" I asked.

"Sure," he said, and we got up.

"I won that," I teased Izzy before heading out.

"Anne, I know you've been screwing Malfoy," Blaise sneered.

My eyes went wide and my cheeks heated up.

"Why do you think that?" I stammered.

"Merlin, I'm not an idiot.  You and him are always gone at the same times, and Izzy told me you were wearing his clothes after the party," he answered.

"I fucking told her not to tell anyone," I seethed through gritted teeth.

"C'mon, it's Izzy," he chuckled.

"Not funny," I groaned.

"What did I say in Hogsmeade," Blaise said.

I didn't respond.

"Told ya," he said. "You two would be-"

"Will you just shut up! We aren't dating! It happened once, and I was drunk as hell!" I shouted.

"Mhm, only once," he said.

"Yes, Zabini, only once," I rolled my eyes.

"Speaking of Malfoy," Blaise pointed across the hallway where the blonde was standing.

I felt butterflies release themselves in my stomach.

"I'll leave you to it," Blaise sniggered, before striding away.

Draco's back was to me. He was walking fast somewhere. I sprinted up to him.

"Draco?" I tapped his shoulder. He flinched in response before turning around and facing me. As soon as he saw me, his face lightened.

"Anne," he said, cupping my cheek.  I felt my palms get sweaty under his touch.

"Hey," I whispered.

His lips were met with mine.  It was so uplifting to have the soft touch of his body on mine, the sound of his deep voice in my ears.

I deepened the kiss, slipping my tongue into his mouth.

He pulled away from my face and looked me straight into the eyes.

"I-I need to go," he stuttered.

Oh no.

What could this be?

I stared deeply into his eyes, reading his soul.

The feeling that I got from those piercing gray orbs was incredible.

"Why?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Something for Dumbledore, I told you," he snapped.

"Liar," I whispered confidently, although I was biting my lip as if my life depended on it to fight back tears.

Draco's face hardened and he pulled me into a closet.

"Can't you just keep your nose out of other people's business?" he seethed.

"I usually can, but when someone lies to me countless times, it's pretty frustrating," I folded my arms.

"Countless? What do you mean countless? I haven't lied to you once!" he shouted.

"You just did!" I yelled back. "Why?! Why, Draco Malfoy, why don't you tell the fucking truth?"

"Because sometimes the truth is fucking awful!" he answered.

"What is going on?" I screamed.

"I told you, I'm helping Dumble-" he started, I cut through him.

"Don't you dare, Draco Lucius! I'm going to ask you again, for the last time. What is going on?" I said.

He bit his lip.

"Fucking hell!" he shouted before rolling up his sleeve and showing me the piercing ink.

The Dark Mark.

I knew it.

"Is that good enough for you? Are you satisfied that you know everyone's problems now?" he sneered.

"No," I simply answered.

"Why?" he snapped.

"Because you know, Draco, your not the only Death Eater in the fucking world!" I shouted, before rolling up my sleeve and showing him my Mark.

His face softened and he ran his hands through his shiny hair.

I felt so terrible, my head dropped down and I couldn't even meet his eyeline.

How pathetic.

I felt warm tears pool in my eyes and I let them fall.

"I-I'm sorry," I whispered.

I felt his cold hand lift my chin up.  Tears also pricked in his eyes and he let them fall.

Draco Malfoy? Crying?

"No. I'm sorry. I should have treated you better, and I should have told the truth," he said, rubbing my cheek.

I sniffled in response.

"I love you," he whispered gently, before pulling me into a deep kiss.

Everything felt right. I let my body relax under his touch.  Can we just stay in this moment forever?

I truly felt as if I had found my soulmate.  The way our lips moved in unison was like no other.

My heart fluttered as he pulled away and gave me a soft smile.

"And there's something I want to ask you," he said.

"Yes?" I responded.
