Bubble Gum | Tododeku

Sunflower Vol. 6

We must have fallen asleep on the floor that night, because when I woke up I felt a chill underneath me. I looked over, his face was so peaceful, but stains from his tears were still evident. When I checked the time, it was only 4 am. "Shit," I thought, I looked around me and spotted an All Might themed blanket laying on his bed. Trying carefully not to wake him, I got up and grabbed it. But, my mission was unsuccessful.

"Todoroki~Kun?" A soft whisper could be heard behind me and I quickly turned around. "What time is it?"

"Around 4 am... you should go back to sleep, you're probably still tired from yesterday."

He nodded, but got up and laid down on the bed instead. I was about to walk back towards the spot on the floor, but he tilted his head to the side. "Aren't you going to sleep in the bed?" I could feel my face slowly heat up, "I- I don't want to intrude, I'll just sleep back down here." Midoriya shook his head and reached out his arms. "C'mere, you are warm, and plus the floor is uncomfy." The way he was talking made me giggle a bit.

"Fine, I will." I walked over and climbed in, he immediately snuggled close to me. "You smell nice," Midoriya murmered. "I do?" He was so funny while exhausted. "Yea, like... strawberries."

"Well it makes sense, I do use strawberry bodywash."

"Makes sense.."

He soon fell asleep again, and I followed. His hair was in my face, I wasn't complaining since it was very soft. While running my hands through it, and noticed Midoriya's face dig deeper into my chest.

I'm not going to make it through the night.

When the sun finally peered through Midoriya's curtains, I suddenly woke, and remembered the night before. Midoriya was still sleeping, and we were still cuddled together. I looked closely at our positions. His face was buried into my chest still, and his right arm was on my waist. The other arm was laying on my right shoulder. Our feet were also entangled, he was so peaceful like this. One of my arms drew him close to me by his waist, and the other was in his hair. "Ngghh..." I heard a faint groan as Midoriya was waking up, his emerald gaze met my dual-colored one.

"G-good morning Todoroki~K-Kun.." He was obviously a bit flustered because of our position, but was hiding it as best he could. "Did you sleep well?" I asked, and Midoriya just nodded. "Probably the best I have in years to be honest.." I checked my phone, it read 'THURSDAY, MAY 28TH, 6:23'. "We should probably get up," He murmured. But it was obvious no effort was made in trying.

Eventually, we surprisingly ended up at the school. All ready for the day, and everything was mainly normal. Bakugou exploding things, Kirishima and Kaminari trying to get him to stop exploding things. Cold soba at lunch, ignoring my father's 20 calls and texts again. Yep, same as usual. I walked over to Midoriya's desk before going home, Uraraka and Iida were already there talking with him as he compiled his belongings. "Hi Todoroki!" Uraraka waved, "Heading home?" I nodded, and joined them to leave

Before splitting up from the group, I felt a quick tug on my bag. Looking down, a small note was placed in the zipper. "Goodbye Todoroki~Kun!" Midoriya shouted, and rushed ahead with the rest of the group. I didn't understand what it was for, but I decided to wait before opening it. Just in case my father sees it and Midoriya is in danger. A car pulled up next to me, inside was Fuyumi and Natsuo. "Hey Sho! We decided to go visit Mom, you coming?" Natsuo yelled after rolling down the window. "Anything to get away from that horrid human being.." Besides, a visit to my mother was long overdue. When I climbed in the car, I decided to open the note that Midoriya had given me. Inside was a stick of gum attached to the paper and a note;

Hey Todoroki~Kun!
Thanks for being around last night, although I am sorry you had to witness my mental breakdown. Hahah, ALSOALSOALSO! DID YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENED TODAY IN CLASS? KAMINARI~KUN AND ASHIDO~SAN ALMOST WERE ALMOST KILLED BY MR. AIZAWA BECAUSE THEY DECIDED TO DRAW ON HIS FACE WHILE HE SLEPT. Instead, they only got detention. It was really funny. Though, I really am glad you were there last night, if I am gonna be honest, I was hoping for someone to actually knock on the door and keep me company. Who knew my wish would come true? Next time you see your mom say hi for me k? Same for Fuyumi~San and Natsuo~Kun! Thanks again,

P.S. can you figure out the flavor of the gum this time? ;P

I smiled at the note and looked down at the small sunflower vase doodled in the corner, two could be seen and both varied in size. One was a lot taller then the other, kind of like Midoriya and I. Unsticking the gum from the page, I took it from it's wrapping and placed it in my mouth.

"Cherry," I thought. "Definitely cherry."

"You're spacing again," Natsuo broke me from my thoughts, "Huh?"

"I asked who the note is from, is it a girl? How about one in your class? Should I guess or-"

"Natsuo leave him alone, it could be from Midoriya or something." Fuyumi shook her head and looked at me through the rear view window. "You don't have to tell us if you don't want to," Natsuo whined, "C'mon Ice Crystal~ it's probably from a girl." He exaggerated her nick name in attempts to convice her, but she stuck to it. "No Natsuo, it's his buisness. If it's some sort of love interest for him, then that's his alone." He slumped back in his seat, defeated by Fuyumi's authority. "It's just a letter from Midoriya, something happened last night and he thanked me for sticking by his side."

They glanced at each other for a minute, before Natsuo's disappointed face came back. It wasn't a girlfriend of some sort, so no interesting story for him. I broke the small silence, "He says hi by the way, to us and Mom." "Aw, that's really sweet," Fuyumi smiled. "He's a really good kid Shoto, keep him around," I nodded and soon we pulled into the hospital for our visit.

While walking inside, I noticed a small bush off in the distance. Coincidently, growing in it was a few sunflowers. Keeping note, I continued inside,

Midoriya was still on my mind.

(Wow, I am so sorry this took way longer than usual. I haven't been that motivated lately and I'm sorry, I WILL TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE! I AM SORRYYYYY, here's a fun question for ya tho!
