Even though Midoriya's comfort helped me that night, those nightmares still occurred. On good nights, they were tame, easy to manage. But on the others, I got little to no sleep, in fear of seeing Midoriya get injured, taken, or even worse:

killed.

The lack of sleep started to affect me physically too, I was a bit weaker during training, and the eyebags I had were very visible.

"Alright, everyone, you can head back to the dorms. Thanks for a somewhat peaceful day." Everyone's eyes turned to Bakugou as Mr. Aizawa ended the day. "OH SHUT UP EXTRAS!" Kirishima laughed at his boyfriend's antics, and quickly dragged him out of the class so he couldn't cause any damage.

"Todoroki, Midoriya, could you two stay behind for a moment?" Mr. Aizawa asked as we were about to leave, both of us nodded, and stood in front of him. "Todoroki, I am going to be very blunt with you. You look awful, and your training has decreased. Now, I understand I'm not the... most sympathetic person, but I am your teacher, so I still worry. I kept Midoriya here because I thought it might be easier to talk with him around, plus, he seems genuinely worried." Looking over at the greenette, I can see him hesitate but nod. "It's... gotten worrying."

They aren't wrong, but I don't know how to outright say 'Hey! I've been having dreams where Midoriya gets injured and it's affecting me so severely that I can barely sleep! Y'know! Normal things!'

"I'm sorry for my burden to you both," I sigh, "I have just been having these... awful dreams. Each night, they leave me in a cold sweat or on the verge of tears.."

"Could you explain what these dreams are?"

I paused, before shaking my head. "I'd rather not..."

You could tell Mr. Aizawa wasn't aware of what to do in this situation. "I-... *sigh*... I'll have a talk with some of the staff and see if there is anything we can do. Midoriya, would you mind keeping an eye on him until then?"

"No, I don't mind..."

"Thank you... Todoroki, before you both leave, I want to remind you something."

Both of our eyes met back at his, and he said some words that helped a lot through this time. "It's a totally natural thing, having fears and insecurities are what make us human. Luckily, it seems like you have surrounded yourself with people who will support and accept you. Remember that, and it should make the situation a little more bearable."

Midoriya and I said our goodbyes as we walked out of the classroom, "Are you okay?" he asked softly, and I just shrugged. "I'm not entirely sure..."

"Are they the same dreams as before?"

I nodded my head.

"Is it other people, or still just me?"

"You.."

His gaze shifted back towards the floor, "Do you... have any idea why?"

My head shook.

"Well, you heard what Aizawa said." I looked back at Midoriya, and he looked at me. "We're all only human. Don't beat yourself up over it, okay?"

Human... Huh... "Can you tell me something Todoroki~Kun?" Midoriya asked. I gave him a soft smile, "Of course. Ask me anything."

"Have you talked to your mom in a while? Or maybe Fuyumi~San and Natsuo~Kun?"

While stepping down the long staircase, I paused. How long had it been? A month or so? Maybe more? The green haired teen just stood and waited at a pause in the stairs. I'm surprised he didn't grow impatient as I thought hard about this question. "I think my lack of an answer might be the answer itself."
