Footsteps (足跡): PART 1!

I wish I could say something interesting happened between Midoriya and I during these next few months. But sadly, not much. The only thing I can really say is that we moved into our dorms. Although we do keep handing each other these notes, I eventually joined in on this game and got a bunch of different flavored packs of gum to have him guess. That was mostly about it... until Kirishima's birthday rolled around.

"Well, I never really celebrated my birthday so..."

"W-W-W-WHAT!? WHAT THE FUCCCKKK!?"

Everyone was gathered around the red-haired guy in the middle of the common room. This red-haired guy is formally known as Eijirou Kirishima, my classmate and the 'Bakugou defuser' as some of the others call him. "My family never did that sort of thing growing up, the most I got was a present outside my door on my birthday morning. Other than that, it was like any normal day. Seriously, it's not that big of a deal, I'm used to it!" Hagakure shook her head at Kirishima's statement, or at least that's what I think happened. I honestly couldn't tell if you paid me.

"That's awful though! Birthday's are special days! Where people celebrate you! Did anyone at school ever do anything?" This time, Kirishima shook his head. "It's not because I was hated or anything, we just had another student who's birthday was on the same day! He got more of the attention, but I wasn't too mad." Mina was in full 'Mama Rage' mode, that's what everyone calls Mina when she's in her overprotective state. "Not even any presents!??" You could tell Kirishima was starting to get a bit awkward, I think he knew people cared, he just didn't want this conversation to continue. "Well, I got one when I was way younger. It was this kid I met back in my 1st year of Middle School. I can't remember what he looks like though, so I never got to thank him..." Bakugou's ears perked up at this.

"Oi, shitty hair." He called from the other side of the room. "What did he get you?" Kirishima seemed to lose himself in thought for a moment, trying to remember what it was. "Oh! It was breakfast, it was kind of accidental though. I had went to a breakfast place near my house as a way to celebrate with myself. There was someone in front of me though, around my age. We both ordered but there was a bit of a mixup. In the end, he just ended up paying for both and said 'I would owe him in the long run when he's a pro hero.' I thanked him, and mentioned that it was my birthday, so the gesture meant a lot to me. Before we parted ways outside, he scoffed and just said 'Well, happy birthday I guess..' and walked away. To this day I can't remember who he was or if he even ended up going to a heroing school. I hope he did though!" Bakugou looked shocked by Kirishima's monologue and just kind of stood there for a moment. "Bakugou?" Mina asked, "Nothing fuck off." He turned on his heel quickly and left, leaving the entire rest of the room confused. "Ooohhhhkay....?" Uraraka said after a long silence. "Well! I promise you sweetie that we won't forget your birthday this year!" Mina yelled, pulling Kirishima in for a hug. Murmers of agreement from around the room could be heard and Kirishima smiled softly. "Thank you guys... so much..."

If you couldn't guess what was happening after this... well...

We ended up throwing him a surprise party.

After Kirishima started towards his room, Mina called Bakugou from downstairs. "What do you want Racoon Eyes?" He asked as he picked up. "Can you listen for when Kiri get's into his room for us?" Silence, it lasted for a few seconds before Bakugou answered, "I just heard his door shut, what the fuck are you planning?" Mina giggled, "Please distract him for us! In the end, it'll make your boyfriend happy! I'll text you when we're done!"

"WHAT THE FUCK PINKY HE'S NOT MY-"

She hung up.
