When it was my turn to take the exam, I got up from next to Bakugou's side and left."You better not fail." Was all he said to me.
And, I didn't. I was able to hold off Midnight and cuff her when her guard was down, claiming victory my team. Though, Sero got knocked out at the beginning of the fight so I'm not sure if he gets a pass. Regardless, my match was over and so there was only one left.
I went to the monitor room to watch with most of the other students. I stood next to Shoto and watched carefully as the last exam started with nothing but bickering from the childhood friends. There was this tightness in my chest that I couldn't explain as anything other than extreme worry for them, especially Bakugou.
I think Shoto noticed my distress as I felt his hand intertwine with mine. I didn't hesitate to interlock my fingers with his and hold his hand. He squeezed my hand to show reassurance and that he knew what I was thinking. The two of us had become extremely close since the week long internships and I can say with confidence that he is my best friend.
Kirishima and I have gotten closer as well, since we started training together recently. He stood on the other side of me, while also watching the intense round. The three of us, including Bakugou have built some type of dysfunctional bond that I can't describe but I'm really happy about it.
the more the match continued, the more worried I got. Bakugou was acting wild and would barely listen to Midoryia. He was getting thrown around left and right by All Might and at one point was knocked out. Shoto squeezed my hand tighter, I think he was worried too.
Finally, Midoryia ended up escaping while carrying the unconscious blonde and they had passed their exams. The minute recovery girl got up to do her job, Shoto let go of my hand and I spirited afterwards. The Recovery hero stopped me however and said I could only go in until she was fully done, so I waited.
Once she finished I bursted into the room. Bakugou was laying on one of the beds, still unconscious. I rushed to his side and just stood next to him. Looking over him, I wanted to cry. He was covered in bruises and must have been in so much pain. I grabbed a stool so I could sit next to him. I wanted to be there when he woke up, so I laid my head down on his chest and closed my eyes, not realizing I was so tired I had fallen asleep.
Bakugou's POV
My entire body was aching and I felt stiff. That damn All Might knocked me out good and that stupid Deku was the one to pass the exam for us.
tch, whatever.
I went to sit up and stretch when I felt a weight on my chest. I looked down and saw that damn fireball sleeping on me, but what was she doing here?
"She's been waiting to you to wake up, but she was so tired from her own exam she must have fallen asleep." Deku said to me.
