Today, Foa was tasked by doctor Baizhu to go to the borders of Liyue and Monstat, alone. The trip would take a few days. Qiqi incessantly complained but the doctor wished that the young lady could go out and experience the world of Teyvat for herself.
"Qiqi... Qiqi..... " The poor child silently wept as she desperately clung onto the gems of Foa's sleeves.
" Shhhh. " Foa consoled her. " I promise I will come back. "
Baizhu only heaved a small sign, unfazed. This had happened far to many times now. He didn't understand why Qiqi would go so far for a stranger, but now that Foa was part of the family now, he too couldn't help but worry. He just didn't show it.
It was a necessary evil, as much as he wanted for the hike to stay with Qiqi forever.
She needed to face the world by herself.
Foa smiled. This much is nothing.
