Qiqi has been extremely busy lately. She was pouting about the fact that she hadn't seen Foa in 3 days. The cloud of gloom looming over her only ever seemed to grow in volume, Baizhu noted.
His hands were tied, unfortunately. The sudden surge in demand for medication strained what little herbs they had. As such, Foa would usually go for day long excursions around Liyue and only returned late at night, dropping off the herbs in a box, before camping elsewhere again.
"Now now, Qiqi. " Baizhu attempts to cheer up the little zombie. Qiqi was seating in a wooden chair, swinging her dangling feet, carefree, as she slipped from her bottle of coconut milk. "The shortage of herbs has been resolved. Foa doesn't need to stay out late anymore."
"Really...?" Qiqi glanced up, hopeful.
"Yes, yes. " Baizhu assured. He doubled check their stock twice, before parting the good news. "Foa should be returning any minute now."
"Hello." A calm greeting pierced through the hopeful atmosphere. "Missed me?"
Qiqi placed her now empty coconut milk on a table, and hugged her favourite person.
"Hello there." Baizhu returned the greetings. "I have a letter for you. It's written by the Tianquan, Ning Guang, herself."
"Ah." Foa froze up.
"It seems as though she wanted to send a gift, to thank is for our relief efforts." Baizhu guessed. "You and Qiqi can go. Someone has to man the pharmacy, and she's practically joined to your hip now."
Foa burst out into bouts of laughter.
"Alright, I'll go." Foa agreed.
She then took Qiqi out for a hearty meal. It was then she met someone she hasn't met before.
...
"H-hi! I'm Noelle, from Monstadt." A youthful girl built like a maid, introduced herself. "I hope to become a knight of Favonius one day!"
"Yeah!" Paimon confirmed. "She's really nice, and strong! She also makes really good pancakes, so she's Paimon's friend."
"I see." Foa replied, as she continued to hold Qiqi's hand.
"We're about to eat and watch someone tell a story!" Paimon elaborated. "Zhongli said it was some kind of... Nine rounds till knockout? Anyway, the food tastes pretty good, and the stories they tell are fun and entertaining."
"Wanna come?" Lumine asked.
Foa looked at Qiqi for confirmation. Upon seeing her nod, Foa accepted. With that, the four of them went to eat lunch.
