Tough times don't last, but tough people do.
In tranquil serenity, Foa and the earth god, Morax, watched as the battle unfold. In silence, they watched on as gods. Yet, they both knew that after this brief moment, they would resume their mortal lives.
Espuma watched as Osial's body collapsed into the ocean. Morax watched as the jade chamber crumbled and fell. Objects the meant much yet little to them, fell regardless.
Once again, the skies cleared. Light rained down upon the scattered pieces of debris floating about at sea. Sombre silence ensued, as the waves brushed against the mortal, Zhongli's shoes.
"I would go and retrieve the last bit of my friend's soul, and console his sobbing wife." Foa said. "Tell Qiqi I will be back soon."
He nodded, and watched as Foa dissolve into the sea.
...
Osial's soul was small and fragmented. The mind control of the Abyss was no joke. Thanks to this, due to their magic's sticky nature, the soul of Osial has not been dispersed yet. Carefully, Foa separated the filth from Osial's pure and fragile soul.
The whole time, Beisht's large body curled around them. The shivers emanating from her body, showed that she was holding back from dashing, holding, and mourning her husband's passing.
Soon, the fragmented pieces gathered. Although some parts have been eroded by the filth and poison, a majority of Osial's soul has been preserved.
"His body is cold, and cannot be used." Espuma said. "As such, I will place his soul into another physical catalyst."
Immediately, Beisht slithered away, and returned with a dark blue oval orb. An egg, one that was unfertilised due to Osial not having a physical body.
Espuma stared at the egg, and started the process of breathing Osial back to life. She, soon returned back to the surface, with an eternally grateful Beisht.
After all, there were people waiting for Foa to return, and that put a smile on her face.
