Chapter 39

❝Kids❞

It had been two years now since you and Oikawa had gotten married. Nowadays, you've been feeling very odd whenever you are around the house. A lot of smells around the house has made you feel nauseous, and it was bothering you a lot more than you thought it would.

At the moment, though, you and Oikawa were both sitting at the kitchen table for breakfast. It was one of those mornings where the both of you did not need to rush to get to work.

All of a sudden, you felt a wave of exhaustion come over you. You did not want to make Oikawa worry, but it was evident on your face how drained you looked.

"Are you still not feeling good beautiful?" Oikawa asked.

You put your hand against the kitchen's table, gripping the table tightly, and nodded.

"Yeah, I don't know what it is," you replied.

You continued to eat, but for some reason, the exhaustion was not going away.

"You know what, how about I take you to the doctor?" Oikawa said as he continued to eat.

"But you have a huge game today," you replied.

"I know, but I think that I could make it in time," Oikawa replied with a shrug of his shoulders.

You got up from your chair, not wanting to eat anymore, and leaned up to give a kiss to Oikawa.

"I'm sorry handsome, I'll go to the doctor. You can't afford to miss this volleyball game," you stated when you pulled away.

Oikawa furrowed his eyebrows, not liking the answer that you gave him. He then sighed, knowing that he couldn't argue with you on this.

"And you'll be back in time to cheer for me?" Oikawa asked.

He grabbed your hand and intertwined your fingers, and you nodded at what he said. You gave him a smile and squeezed his hand.

"I always am, besides it could just be a stomach bug for all I know," you stated with a shrug.

Soon enough, you were ready to go.

"Hey Tooru, I'm going to the doctor now," you shouted into the house.

Oikawa came to say goodbye to you, leaning down to give you a kiss.

"Okay beautiful, I love you," he stated with his trademark smile.

You smiled back and gave him a quick peck on his lips, and then replied,

"I love you too," you stated.

You had no idea how your life was going to change at the doctor's.

You were impatient sitting on the chair, waiting for the doctor to tell you what was going on with you. Soon enough, you saw the doctor with her clipboard, and you let out a sigh.

"So, what's wrong?" you asked.

The woman looked over the clipboard, and she had a smile on her face. Then, with the smile still on her face, she stated.

"Congrats, Mrs.Oikawa, you're pregnant," the doctor stated.

The words weren't processing in your mind yet, and you had no idea how to react to this news. Though, when you thought about it, you knew that it must be true.

All the signs were there.

"Wait? What?" you asked and stated.

"Yeah, about six weeks if I have to guess," the doctor replied.

The news was still processing for you, but you knew that you were happy with this news. It was not unexpected, and you think that you and Oikawa are ready to have kids.

"Thank you, doctor," you nodded with a smile on your face.

You had gotten in a cab and gotten the driver to rush to the volleyball stadium. Excited to tell the news to Oikawa as fast as you could.

Soon enough, you were there and saw that Oikawa was waiting somewhat close to the lockers. Since you are his wife, you had the permission to be back there.

"Beautiful, you made it!" Oikawa almost shouted.

"Of course I did," you replied with a smile.

"But Tooru, we need to talk," you said seriously.

"Of course, beautiful, I've got about ten minutes till my game starts," he stated with a smile.

"I don't really know how to say this other than to just say it. At the doctors, I found out that I'm six weeks pregnant," you said.

There was silence between the two of you for a moment. Then, a second later, Oikawa reacted. He grabbed your waist and spun you in the air in a circle.

"Really?!" Oikawa exclaimed.

"Yeah," you replied and nodded.

"So, there's a little me or a little you in there right now," Oikawa said, not holding in his excitement and pointing to your abdomen.

Oikawa bent down to put his face against your abdomen, and with a baby voice, Oikawa said,

"Hi baby," Oikawa said, the smile not leaving his face.

"Tooru, the baby might not be able to hear you yet," you said with a laugh.

"I don't care; this is the best news ever," Oikawa replied.

You nodded, and then he moved his body back up and kissed you. You cupped his face, and then you pulled away. You stated,

"I love you, handsome," you said, the smile not leaving your face.

"I love you too, beautiful," Oikawa said, the smile not leaving his face.

Oikawa's team won the game that day, and the two of you were ready to start a new adventure together.
