We reached the house and i immediately went outside the car, "do you still want to go inside?" i asked her, she slyly smiled and nodded. After seeing her response, we went inside the house and i froze on my place after seeing Gahyeon with someone.. this day is really unexpected huh? Siyeon, is comforting my daughter. She was carrying Gahyeon on her arms while caressing her back, but Gahyeon didn't stop from crying.
"Gahyeon" i called and both of them looked at me, Gahyeon cried so much after seeing me. She went down on Siyeon's arms and approached me for a tight hug, i hugged her back and she cried all over. "shhhh mom is here, i'm sorry Gahyeon-ah" i mumbled and she just cried, i looked at Siyeon and she's looking straight at Minji on the entrance. Is there something wrong between the both of them? Now, i'm curious.
"why didn't you pick me up mom? i was waiting for you there.. but you didn't came.. i was so scared" she uttered so i feel sorry, i didn't thought she would wait for me there. "mom needs to finish something at work so she couldn't pick you up on time.. sorry Gahyeon-ah, it won't happen again" i said and pulled away from the hug, i wiped her tears and slyly smiled. "i'll pick you up tomorrow and spend my whole day off with you" i said and she still looks sad, i let out a sigh and carried her on my arms. Looks like i need to do something to make her feel better. "i'll leave you guys here for a while, i'll be back" i said and they both nodded without even sparing a glance at me, their eyes are just glued to each other and they both have a serious expression. Things started to feel strange, i think something happened that made them hate each other.. i wonder what's happening..
I took Gahyeon on our room and put her on the edge of the bed, her tears are slowly drying on her face. "are you mad at me Gahyeon-ah?" i asked her and tried to show a smile but she didn't look at me, she was just looking down.. sadly. She shook her head but she still didn't glance at me, i feel extremely sorry because i remembered that i promised her, that i'll pick her up on her first day in school. I can see how disappointed she was, so it shouldn't happen again. All of sudden, we heard a knock on the door so we both glance at it. We saw Yoohyeon and Handong on the door, they approached us and Handong sat beside Gahyeon on the bed.
"are you disappointed because your mom didn't pick you up earlier?" she asked and Gahyeon slowly nodded, Handong smiled and patted Gahyeon's head. "she couldn't make it to pick you up because she's working hard for you on the office, she wants to earn money to buy you gifts during our payday so she told us aunties to do it" Handong said so Gahyeon looked at her, my lips is slowly forming a smile. I know Handong understands me and i'm thankful that she always got my back whenever i don't know what to do.
"mom is working.. for me?" Gahyeon asked her, Handong smiled and nodded. "we saw how disappointed you were kid, your mom didn't expect that sudden task earlier, she'll pick you up tomorrow" Yoohyeon added, Gahyeon wiped her tears then her lips slowly formed a cute smile. I sigh in relief, my friends saved me again.. i feel so touched.
"thank you for taking good care of me" Gahyeon said and we all smiled, we formed a group hug and it feels like home. The tiredness and stress caused by work on my body suddenly went away, i feel a lot better around them. They're my home.
