the next day..

the sky was already dark when Sua finished the remaining paperwork on the office, she stretched her arm and stood up, getting ready to go home and feel her daughter's warm embrace. "you finished already?!" Yoohyeon asked, Sua laughed and nodded. She grabbed her bag and smiled to her friends, Handong was too focused on the computer screen because she badly want to finish her work so that she could go home and sleep on her soft bed.

"be careful on your way home" Handong said without taking off her gaze on the screen, Sua nodded and waved her hand to say goodbye then she went outside the building. Surprisingly, her phone made a noise so she picked it up from the small pocket of her bag. Minji was calling her and it's so sudden, she never saw her bestfriend in a while now..

"yes minji?" Sua asked on the other line, Minji let out a sigh as she sat back on the park's bench. "can you come here at the park? i need to tell you something" Minji said, Sua hummed and take a look at the time on the watch on her wrist. It's already 9:00 pm in the evening so she's curious why minji wanted her to go at the park at this hour. "okay, i'll be there" Sua said, "be careful" Minji said and hang up the call, Sua let out a sigh and called the taxi then told the driver to take her on the park nearby. She's already wondering what was the reason why and what minji will say later on.

A couple of minutes after, Sua reached the park and paid the taxi driver. She walked a little bit then saw a familiar figure sitting on the park's bench while looking at the beautiful river in front of her, the surroundings was so quiet and the wind blew a little colder. Sua approached her and sat beside her, Minji didn't even take her gaze off the river.

"it's late, why are you still here?" Sua asked, Minji slowly looked at her. "did i bother? i'm sorry" Minji apologize but Sua shook her head, "no, it's fine.. so what are you going to tell me?" Sua asked, Minji showed a sly smile and held her hand. Sua flinched and blinked a few times, Minji let out a deep breath before saying the words she's been afraid to tell her bestfriend even on the past years.

"i don't know if we'll stay the same after this but i want to let you know what i feel towards you ever since then" Minji said, Sua can feel a pinch on her heart after hearing what her bestfriend had said, she already know where everything is going but she needed to pretend that.. it was still new to her.

"i love you Bora-ah, a lot and i really do. I know it's wrong to fall for you because we're bestfriend's but i couldn't stop myself, i do want to stop falling for you but i just can't. I was a coward for not telling this to you back then because i was so afraid that.. you'll distance yourself away from me and i'll lose someone like you. Now i had said everything, i was hoping if you could give me a chance to make you feel how much i love you. I swear to god, if ever you give me a chance.. i will make you the happiest person and i will never hurt you just like what she did." Minji said with pure sincerity, Sua can feel it but instead of having the butterflies, she felt pain instead.

Sua's tears started to fall so she looked down, Minji showed a smile.. to hide the pain she's feeling at the moment. She already knows what her bestfriend will say and what will happen but she's kinda glad that she finally said what she feels but they say, everything happens for a reason so if ever Sua rejects her, she's not the one for her and she needs to accept that, there's nothing she can do about it. No matter how much you love someone, if it wasn't meant to be, you have no other choice but to accept the truth that you somehow can't have the person you wished to spend the rest of your life with.

"Minji.. i'm sorry but i love someone else and you know who she is right? no matter how hard i try to forget someone like her, i really can't because i love her.. i'm sorry if i couldn't give back the love you're making me feel.. i don't deserve you.. i'm really sorry for breaking your heart but i needed to do this.. i'm really sorry minji-" Sua said as tears continued to fall on her eyes, Minji's eyes becomes teary but she still showed a smile.. obviously smiling through the pain.

"i'm sorry" Sua added as she cries, Minji pulled her on her embrace.. Sua cried on her chest while Minji caress her soft hair with pain on her eyes. "it's alright and i understand.. you don't have to apologize and i know i'll be fine soon, as long as you're happy, i'm happy too" Minji said and it made Sua cry even more.

Minji hugged her much tighter this time, she hopes that after all what happen today.. she hopes that Sua still see her the same. "i hope she never hurts you and i hope she will love you more than anything else.. it might hurt to see you happy with someone else but there's nothing i can do, be happy for me bora-ah" Minji said and pulled away from the hug, Sua looked at her and she can clearly saw the pain behind Minji's smile.

Minji can feel her heart hurting so much, the second heartbreak she gained.. is painful indeed. " that should be me " she thought on her mind as she cry inside, "some people said that we should follow what our heart says so i did, but it got shattered into pieces."
