Sun

You called me the sun
I could have put on a mask and smiled
Instead I showed the anger I felt by the insulting words that come out of your mouth
unknowingly

By calling me the sun you are saying that
I shine bright enough to kill all that comes close to me
That without the moon I am only a mere light

To you I am the sun,
I feed all the souls that roam the earth
Souls I wish I could meet without them turning to ashes when I get close

I rather be the moon
It shines beautiful during the night
Creates the beautiful ocean tides
Souls write poetry about the moon
How beautiful it is to fall in love under the bright moon light
Souls have set foot in the moon without any harm coming to them
The moon might be smaller than the sun
But it is more loved
It is more beautiful

During the night everyone is at peace
the world is quiet
lovers are becoming one
and even the sad souls find comfort in their own silence

I wait for the moon
because it is the only time that I can escape myself
my own skin burns when I glow and I am blinded by my own light
Everyday I feel like I am in hell

burning slowly forever...
