If I was a love poet,
I'll write about how the way you look at me
captivates me
I'll write about how I don't belong to myself because if I did, I wouldn't need you around me all the time
I'll write about the memories you've engraved in my head of the times you loved me like it would be the last,
they play every so often like a film
I'll write about the way I've memorized your footsteps incase you'd try to run away, so I can find you
I'll write about the your fingerprints are a part of my body, so clear you could scan them
I would write about the rainy days that turned into snow and you'll wrap your arms around me.
If I was a love poet,
I'll write about our adventures
But I am not, and you're not my lover.
